I think it's bullshit that nobody is helping some Forum members get in while people who are there because it's a hip fashion week event are allowed inside. Rest assured that if Smoking Arthur were a hot chick ,well, they'd be inside by now.

My good looks won't help me in a group like this, everyone is a model or some victim of haut couture. I was undressing this chick with my eyes and she was loving it. Anyway I don't think it would help me, hot girls are a dime a dozen here.

I'm really just happy to see things like this going on.

This is a great band, a great tour, and now they are just doing some great things. These little surprise gigs put together with unprecedented contact from Axl/Guns is fantastic.

Wish the rest of the world could eschew obfuscation long enough to see the kickass music and energy being brought out in these guys.

Just dragged my wife over there and tried to get in. She's Brazilian so I thought maybe she'd be able to chat up some of the entourage to get an in. Didn't happen that way, but it was worth a shot!

There's really not many people outside, but tight security and a guy with a list. "It's a private party" is their line. We went inside the hotel and there was loud rock music playing from the direction of the "event" but I couldn't really tell what it was (didn't know if it was even GNR -- I know they don't normally play this early but who knows given the nature of the event). Security guys standing along a curtain preventing anyone from getting in. I played dumb and asked if I could go in just to get a drink at the bar but the guy repeated the "sorry, private event" line.

We left and got a drink elsewhere in the neighborhood (Union Square)-- seems like it'd be pretty tough to get in there if you don't have a connection.

It is a beautiful crowd I fit right in but I have no reservations, I met a couple of nice girls then I see one of them getting a cab and then a bunch of people surround her and ask her for pictures. I have no idea who she was but I have seen some faces I recognize. Again let me reiterate how hot some of these girls are. I dressed up fir this event cause I knew this was gonna be a pretentious crowd and it is.
