I always thought it was Bucket, sounds like him to me.

Definitely Finck on the first solo.

The outro is definitely Bucket, the first part where it kicks in gives it away pretty clearly, as do the bends throughout the solo

That is true. It is definatley evident bucket plays that part,

The portion of the song I was wondering about is the second part of the main solo

It's Fortus. Watch the live vids from 2002. If it was Bucket, Bucket would have played it in 2002.

Make sense. And he plays it with the same feeling as the solo or melody of whatever thats on the record. It sounds more like Richard.. But never know.. The booklet says otherwise. Anyway, it's an amazing peice!

well, i dont know about this song...

but i remember the first time i knew about bucket, i went to youtube and watched some vids (no the ones where he shows how to play) and bam! so much passion in his play 0.o im glad GnR show me such a great guitarrist...
