Bands that noone else has heard of

Okay, so instead of these 'Recommend an underrated band' or whatever, just recommend a band you may have seen on Youtube, Facebook, Myspace, Last FM etc etc etc, or maybe you happened to catch them live.

Exit Calm - Hearts & Minds

A very Verve-like band, with huge, echo-y guitar lines. Saw them live last month and they blew my head off. I think these guys could be massive.

Goldheart Assembly - King Of Rome

Quite an odd band these, I can't quite place them as Alternative, Rock, Indie, or Psychedelic, they're a mixed bag. They have a great sense of melody, and harmony as well.

The Ganjas - Sonic Redemption

These guys are proper heavy psychedelic rock, from South America. They have a lot of shoegazing style tendencies to them as well.

Cherry Ghost - We Sleep On Stones

A very classic style of pop music, plus they have a lot of elements of rockabilly, and psychedelic 60's as well. Have also seen them live, and found them easy to listen to, whilst still being brilliant.

The Whip - Trash

Quite electro-indie-post punk-danceflor anthem, this. Quite a tune, not much to it, but very catchy and memorable.

Six By Seven - Ready For You Now

Very anthemic pop song, a very good singalong band. Sadly never hit the bigtime in their short spell together.

Paul Thomas Saunders - Starless State of the Moonless Barrow

Very ambient, beautiful kind of folk music, sounds like it was recorded in space.

That'll do for now I think.

Fuck, I just made a post explaining all these danish bands and then I shut the whole fucking site down <_< Well, I'll just give you the names and I hope you'll listen anyways.

The Floor is made of Lava - All Outta Love - Their newest radio hit.

- From their album. Very different, but the old album is full of these catchy tunes. Works perfect live, gets the whole crowd dancing. Saw these guys live 5-6 times.

Kellermensch - Army Ants - Their newest radio hit.

- An older song of theirs. You should hear this song live, especially at a festival at 3 in the morning. What a fucking experience, haha.

- I love this song, so chill.

- This band is freaking awesome. Saw them live once and they're really cool.

Ginger Ninja - Bone Will Break Metal

Veto - You Say Yes, I Say Yes - Soooo cool. Love their heavy electronic sound.

- Their biggest hit.

- This song is sooo awesome. I saw them live for the first time a couple of days ago, there was only about 80 people in the crowd, haha.

For the more rock-ish people:

- I chose this live clip for a reason - I WAS THERE and it was soooo cool! These guys rocked that place with their 60's sound. Can't wait to hear more from these guys.

- Again, saw these guys live a couple of days ago and seriously, I can't wait to see them again. They rocked so hard, even though there was only like 200 people in the crowd max. They all looked like they could be roadies for Black Sabbath, especially the bassist assistant, haha. But seriously, they were so cool. (As you can see in the video, this song was the theme song for the iPad commercial)

- This song was feautured in Beverly Hills 90210 actually)

- Love this song.

I have a lot more cool Danish bands, but that's it for now :)

Hank Williams III. Nashville record labels wanted him to be his granddaddy and be all over CMT, be he decided to do it his way. U can hate country music but if u give him a chance he will get your respect. And puts on a killer live show with a country set, hellbilly set, and metal set.

Doin the country thing:

Doin the Hellbilly thing:

Stellastarr* - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICYusBH5ZNU Nice indie band, catchy and quite poppy. First album is brilliant.

Heard of them.

Bought their debut almost years ago. Reminded me of the Bravery.

So should I delete that entry as you have heard of them Sunny?

I didn't mean it that way. My bad.

Just letting you know that you weren't the only one...

Quite possibly my new favorite band for the time being. Just happened upon while searching for new music the other night. After listening to their lp Faceless Sonic Boom and Clean Your Room a few times each, i searched the uTube and found this vid.

They are quality. Just got their album today. Immense guitar sounds & production. Didn't realise until I looked at the booklet that Ulrich Schnauss (bloke who's songs Guns sampled for Riad) produced it too. Fantastic sounding band. They're playing in Glasgow in a few weeks but annoyingly I'm in Manchester the day they they're on which is a complete bastard.
