Bumblefoot does a charlie sheen

Why can nobody understand he was justified in saying this??? I mean for god sakes, he is promoting something else, not GNR and he gets irritated and jokes about a couple of songs (Which I like) and everyone calls him a traitor to the GNR camp??? If there's a definition of fuck logic in a dictionary, its probably just a picture of a "GNR Fan". Why, I was reading through older posts and threads and I either here one of two things, Bumblefoot is a great guy in the band or Bumblefoot fucked up the solos that he played. I constantly hear praise about him in comparison to DJ Ashba as well. Also like its been said before people criticized Ashba for mentioning stuff about GNR in an interview. And now your mad at Bumblefoot for not talking about them in an unrelated chat? People also say that your fans of NewGNR, but every time something goes wrong or a member doesn't take the music seriously you crucify them. Let me remind you that Slash wasn't exactly a saint when it came to GNR either, he openly states that he doesn't care for Sweet Child O' Mine, He did a lot of session work even during the Use Your Illusion heyday that gave him side projects, and he admits to making mistakes on the Live album which you can hear. Some of the solos that the new guys play are better than the ones he played in the heyday. If Bumblefoot quits I hope that actually makes you happy, but the more likely scenario is that you will end up praising Bumblefoot and complain about the replacement. I've lost a lot faith in GNR fans thanks to this thread , the lack of logic in your statements really, really frustrates me :tongue2:

Once again I'm done ranting.

To be honest does it even matter if Ron likes GnR or not? If he's been paid to do a job and does it well then so what? I think most of us know that Guns long since ceased to be a band in the traditional sense but if Axl's vision means paying the best guys available to play what he wants then cool. Personally I'll judge this incarnation as a band when I hear what they've written and recorded together but for now I have no problem with the way things are.

Um, how did you get that from my post, but I agree with your post. Axl has long forgotten what a traditional band is, and I like that myself. So yes I agree with you completely, but I do think Ron likes being in GNR and playing, I think that the fans at times irritate him. But once, again how does this connect to my post in anyway given the fact my comment was a rant against fans?

Errrrrr, I think I quoted the wrong post haha! The point still stands however!

Honestly, a band like gnr that has a shit ton of unanswered questions, fans taking advantage of every opportunity to get some answers is to be expected. Sadly, the usual "no comment" approach is really all they can get through their muzzles. And I'm not really referring to this particular situation, just in general really.

There's a time and place for everything I guess. Just the time to talk about gnr, in detail, never seems to come. So I can see why some people are frustrated. But some of you guys were complaining about dj just coming out of the woodwork during a motley crue interview to talk about guns, but now you're mad bumble didn't do the same thing? I think this is just fans losing what's left of their patience, but in this case, groghans right. Can't have it both ways.

Thing is that anybody with half a brain knows for a fact that nobody but Axl is allowed to talk about Guns business. Well either they're not allowed or they choose not to out of respect for Axl. Either way everybody knows that nobody but Axl will ever answer these questions so by repeatedly asking BBF and the others they're doing it for one of two reasons. Either they're thick or they just want to stir the pot and cause shit.

I appreciate where fans are coming from just like myself who are eager for news and to find out more about forthcoming shows, new music etc. but I think there's a line drawn where people get a little bit too overwhelming like with the repeated song requests on the chat. He has sat in front of that cam playing request after request, including sharing the recording of the alternate 'Scraped' solo which was a great surprise.

On the other side though, it's great that he makes the time just to socialise with the fans in one way or another. I prefer him joking around and being in a crazy mood rather than 'no answer', 'no answer', 'no answer'. Anyway, if I was lucky enough to be hanging out with him, I might maybe ask one or two questions about a song off CD or about a tour but I wouldn't sit there running through potential set-lists or the names of new songs with him or "Axl this", "Axl that". Yes, he is in a very fortunate position to be playing as a member of GN'R alongside Axl, and yes you could start "but he should answer more questions if he's a part of the band", "why doesn't he do this", "why can't he say that".... simple answer.... that his business. He's playing with GN'R. I'm not. Good for him he deserves it. End of story.

I don't blame him for getting mad. I've been in several of those chats and you get people spamming requests for songs over and over again to the point you can't see anything else in the chat - he's played GNR songs quite a bit on that stream before, even a bit of Estranged, so without the context of the chat this video is useless. Leave the fucking guy alone. He doesn't have to sit there on camera for hours to chat with people, play music for them, answer questions, anything else. These chats have been fun so if you guys fuck it up, don't be surprised.

I just found the video funny, for those who took it seriously should learn to appreciate others humour and understand that sometimes musicians say contraversial shit.

Bumble meant no harm in saying these things and it's just him talking off the cuff.

I guess it's easy being a keyboard critic when you choose to Latch onto something trivial and light humoured as this and turn it into an issue.

Seeing as you all are taking this seriously I guess you gullable lot actually think bumbles gonna buy a cantelope to fuck too right?

Back on topic a little more though this is tantamount to going for a social night out with somebody who refuses to stop asking you about work. Seriously to the people bashing BBF, if you were on a night out and you had somebody with you who couldn't talk about anything else but what was going on in the office wouldn't you be pissed?

Funny that u use that as an example.

As part of my job, I am in charge of my company's training and educational development plan. A couple times a year I take a group of 6-8 workers to training in other cities. I always give the same speech.....we are here for work from 9 to 4. But after that, use this time as a free vacation. So once we leave the training and go out, no more work talk.

And you know what happens? Whether we all go shopping, to dinner, for drinks, movie, comedy club, hockey game, strip club, no matter what we do, there is always a couple people that cannot stop talking about work.

We are in a strange city, away from work, its 10 o'clock at night....can't we put the work talk off for a couple hours!!!!

I'm actually fairly rude about it now. Three months ago I had a lady not talk to me for three days because I refused to answer work questions at night. We were at this killer Italian restaurant, having a great time, people are getting to know each other....and this lady keeps bringing up work stuff. I finally told her I wasn't talking about work until 9:01 the next morning. She got mad and refused to speak to me the rest of the trip.

Your example is a great one.

It's just an example of somebody pursuing an agenda well beyond what the other person is willing to accept or is comfortable with. I mean seriously, no for an answer people?

don't think it was very funny, and not cause I was offended or anything, just want funny. If anything I was a little taken back with the penis joke. One would think that Bumble would refrain from that sorta talk when engaging with fans...many whom are teenagers. Just came across as stupid frat boy stuff.

anyway, one would have to think if bumble is putting so much effort into his protege's career, that means there really isn't much going on in the GNR camp. I'm sure he trying to give her 100% effort and I'm sure she expecting 100% effort, which leads me to believe that a new album or US tour isn't forthcoming.

GNR fans don't like being joked with.

Nope. They want new music and constant tours. No downtime. No joking around. GNR must be doing something every single day.

Well at least something every 20 years or so or we just get impatient! ;)

Lol. But we had a tour 9 months ago and another one coming up. I think Ronald can have fun on livestream for awhile.

He was obviously joking. I thought it was hillarious. In conrxt or out, no need to to flip out and say he's being disrespectful or doesnt like GNR. Some just like bathing in negativity.

He was having fun and being himself. Wether you thought it was funny ir not doesnt really matter. Ron is a baddas guitarist and human being in general.

Is it maybe a leap of faith to assume that some people deliberately spammed the chat to get a response that they could post on the forums and cause shit on purpose?

wouldnt surprise me :rofl-lol:

I met Bumble two days ago at a Tommy Stinson show. He was the nicest guy you can meet as a big name band musician. He's just having fun joking around, I'm positive people have a reason to take offense but listen to his other interviews about fans and the little acoustic sets he did outside guns' hotel during that incident in south America. Dude cares about his fans and he's just messing.

I think we fans tend to get a little overly tense, and I think the constant silence from Axl and no new music released is the main problem.

Dude.....no. Nobody should get overly tense and angry about a rock and roll band.

They are just people. Musicians. A 45 year musician that u will never be friends with should not effect your emotions this much.

You take this stuff way too seriously.

Sorry, I was busy writing an answer to your accusations of me in the "Tickets for Paraguay"-thread.

But ah, so you´re stabbing at me in this thread too?

Why am I not surprised?

I wonder who it is of us that really has a problem with taking things to seriously...
