James Bond Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 Frank is much more straight rock n' roll and Brain is much less cliché... his playing is much more diverse - I used like Brain better, but Frank's killing it. Until I hear proper Frank tunes It's a tie to me (I'm talking about GNR related stuff only...).Most of the drumming tracks on CD were mixed. I mean four of them were arranged by Josh Freese. I think the only song Frank did himself was Chinese Democracy, which was first recorded by Josh then rerecorded by Brain and then recorded again with Frank.I like what Frank did with the drums on Chinese Democracy. I like how it plays it straight ahead instead of the the double-snare thing that Brain used to do. Makes it flow better.
