Georgy Zhukov
So I have no idea what modern rock are the kids listening to these days, can anyone tell me what recent song is charting reasonably well? Last I remember was Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon. I am not counting Coldplay, I mean real guitar rock. Can anyone help me?
Cosmo
Never really stopped to listen to them but Shinedown seems to be charting pretty well. Avenged Sevenfold (can't stand them) is also a successful commercial band.

mrandyk
Sex on Fire is real guitar rock? Everything I hear on the radio for new rock is absolute shit that Clearchannel wants to promote, so I've got no recommendations. Guitar rock seems pretty dead. Chewbacca
this is the number one song in the Billboard hot 100, they call it "alternative rock". this one is a "roots rock" band.I would just call them shitty rock bands.

KBear
It doesn't get more commercial than American Idol, right? But it is guitar rock, and Durbin is a pretty cool guy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtGkptzkEtk
