Lithium
Dude was crazy as fuck, but behind all the batshit lyrics and live performances, there is actually some fairly good punk rock. Just listen to "Watch Me Kill" and ignore the lyrics.

Guest Len B'stard
im with the smoothie on this, GG was the fuckin man. Yes he was stupid, yes he was mental, yes he was ridiculous, yes he was grotesque but thats sort of the point. And he had a semi-respectable punk rock vocal style in a lot of his early tracks, a really decent sneer, especially on stuff like blowjobs and bite it you scum. I mean, for better or worse, the guy was never signed to a decent record label, i believe the only other person "signed" to his particular label was Charlie Manson and yet here we are talking about him. I like GG, i think he was fucking mental, i've never ever heard songs that like, advocate pedophillia, THAT is seriously testing boundaries Or if not pedophilia then lewd and lascivious behaviour with children, thats pretty fuckin' mental.I'm an admirer of GG, definitely, i like him, the more mental fuckers like him out there the better, goes to show, you can still pull in the numbers through underground channels, you just need a hook. I LOVE his manifesto, it's the funniest thing i ever read "the sex pistols betrayed me, iggy betrayed me, Sid Vicious betrayed me" Shut up, you tart!Figures Damn Smoothe would be a fan. It explains a lot actually.Smoothies one of the best posters around here Edited October 24, 2012 by sugaraylen

dalsh327
I look at him as the end of true punk rock, but it got kind of cartoonish and relying on gimmicks, like he was a punk rock Gallagher, making the talk show rounds. All that post prison stuff he did prob. was good for drawing people to the shows, but you have to wonder what the Murder Junkies thought about how far gone he was. Also take into account they were doing punk rock when it was really unpopular. I'm sure he'd be one of the few guys who would've said he was jealous of how Dimebag went out, because he wanted to die on stage. I don't agree he was talentless. For instance I consider myself to be in possession of a reasonable level of intelligence but I've done some incredibly boneheaded and stupid things in my time. ThomasMeadow
At least C Manson made good music. GG was a moron . True story. I 1st heard about GG in 97 or 98 when people that would sneak into a haunted house to do drugs would talk about how someone wrote ""GG Allen still lives ""on the wall. Example, Jimi Hendrix didn't really understand music, written down, he didn't understand the component parts, he just had a knack, an instinct, an ear, a natural degree of suss for the instrument, he couldn't explain the shit to you if he tried, would you say that makes him a bad artist? I don't. I think people deify artists when really, they are people with a talent in one direction or sometimes even a few, this doesn't mean that they are immune from stupidity. Shit, have you read some of their life stories? Dali was possibly the biggest moron i ever heard of.
