Foster the People has some parallels to Nirvana in my opinion. Both have a knack for catchy pop-songs. I can't wait to hear what they come up with next. It will be tough to top Torches. Johnny Drama Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 I think what made MGMT click with alot of people on that first album was that they were indie pop but it still had a lot of old rock and roll swagger in there with a dose of electronica to make it palatable and crossover. All this other garbage is too damn wussy and it doesn't matter if the melodies are there because everything else about is so coma inducing. MGMT is the most boring out of those three bands. Awolnation is not bad. Sail has a bit of an edge to it.Awolnation sucks ass.
