Bruno P.
A few of their takes on the old and new solos. Not "who's the best" but a "who do you enjoy the most" kind of poll.Oh, my choices...Question 1 - Finck Even though he was too hit and miss at times, his takes were much more original than DJ's who relies on Slash so much...Question 2 - FinckThere's no comparison in my books. Finck through and throughQuestion 3 - FinckFinck easily again. He's unpredictable and very tasteful. Ashba, while sounding decent to good at times, doesn't take any risks. bacardimayne
I don't care if DJ plays the old material more closely, I love Finck's weird NR solos. Christ that DJ SOD solo is horrid.
highvoltage
Finck for all 3. I wasn't a huge fan of his work on the old material when he was in the band (I really didn't like his My Michelle solo for example), but I loved him on the album. I warmed up to a few of his solos on the old tracks too.Finck was sloppy at times, but he definitely played with a lot more purpose and skill than DJ does.
