Tour is over - How about an interview with Axl?

Axl, why do you and your cover band continue to tour half-filled clubs and bowling alleys, playing to a fan base that doesn't even care anymore, when clearly you have no interest in being a creative and productive musician? Why don't you get a job working road construction or a porn store, like most of the other old dumb, uneducated, wife-beating shitkickers that are in the senescent years of their lives?

I think it´s worth a try. As someone suggested, the valid questions could be voted in a poll and the ones that get more votes can be sent to Axl or management. As long as they are respectful there shouldn´t be any problems. I think it´s a cool way to know more about him as a person not only as a musician/singer.

-Axl, do you have any goals in life you would like to reach?

-If you were to be born again, who would you like to be?

-We usually read or hear people talking about you but we barely hear anything straight from you. Would you be able to describe yourself in just 3 words?

-Do you think you have accomplished everything you wanted to as an artist?

-If you were 19 and were starting a rock band, bearing in mind the current state of the music industry, what things would you do and what things you wouldn´t do? ( I don´t know if this question´s been worded correctly, some native speaker might correct it? )

-When you write music or lyrics, what inspires you?

These are just a few ones off the top of my head :tongue2:

If you want an example, go look at what caused Axl to jump in the fray as Dexter a few years ago. It wasn't people blowing smoke up his ass.

Is that why you act like? You're trying to catch his eye or something?

I've found the threads much more readable since I put magisme on ignore. If you've read one reply you've read em all.

Don't you think he gets sick and tired of always being asked the same questions over and over?

Going on 20 years?

I'd ask how his day went.

But then he'd just respond " Not here for that, no personal questions ".

hey, just trying to make convo.....

I think this is actually a fairly sensible idea...truly the longshot of all longshots, but why not? Here's my stab at it.

On new music:

1) If you were to release another album, would it be comprised mostly of songs from the "Chinese" sessions, or with material written by the current band?

2) Why not release some songs independently following the Trent Reznor or Prince models?

3) Why not do more guest appearances/collaborations outside of Gn'R so that fans can hear your voice? e.g. with Izzy, Sebastian, Duff, etc.

On the voice:

4) What kind of vocal training do you do, and how do you get your raspy tone?

5) Have you ever seriously damaged your voice?

General:

6) Any personal/professional goals that remain unfulfilled?

I think that's a good, respectful way of asking it:

-Axl, why from 2010 to 2011 your voice deteriorated so much?

A: I have no idea. *shrugs his shoulders*

You remember that question about 'awesome raspy voice', don't you?

3) Why not do more guest appearances/collaborations outside of Gn'R so that fans can hear your voice? e.g. with Izzy, Sebastian, Duff, etc.

This.

I would put it like this: Since once you mentioned that collaboration with nearly anyone is possible and he is a frequent guest on your shows, why don't you ever make guest appearances on Izzy Stradlin's records?

Would you/have you considered collaborating with an artist outside the rock genre?

Do you plan on releasing an autobiography?

What is your opinion on the current state of the music industry?

What do all the buttons on your toilet do? (I'm not serious with this one but would quite like to know)
