AxlisOld
Tru-motion, film mode, cinema smooth, it goes by many names, but all in all, it's just 24 frame playback.A lot of people don't like it but the picture looks super smooth and I feel more immersed in the movie. How do you feel about it? Move to home theater thread if needed.I should add that I'm not talking about the 3:2 pulldown, or ANY tampering with the image whatsoever (adding frames, etc). Black Sabbath
Really? You actually like this shit? Wow.MotionFlow is what it's called on my Sony. Turned that shit off the minute I set the TV up.The feature is so fucking stupid. I hate it. It looks awful on just about everything and is so distracting. If you like it then whatever, I suppose, but I won't be watching movies at your house unless it's turned off
AxlisOld
I like it on my plasma, all it does is give me 24hz, a lot of newer LEDs have extra settings that fuck with picture and frames, I'm not talking about that. Mine is like a lite version of SOE. Movement is smoother, no credit judder. Yes, I like it. I admit I walked by an LED in Costco playing The Avengers, and it happened to be a panning shot, it looked weird. It was like a window. GivenToFly
It's annoying. My parents have it on their tv. I pointed it out to them but they don't see it. I don't understand how you can not see that.
Dan H.
It's great for sports. That's about it though.

highvoltage
I detest it and I always have. It's very much a personal thing I suppose, I know a lot of people that like it. I think it makes everything look unnatural.

AxlisOld
So the 3:2 judder, that's natural movement to you?
Black Sabbath
Pretty sure I don't see any judder on my set Just admit defeat, mang
AxlisOld
There is no defeat to admit. When I watch a movie, I want the most natural, immersive experience possible. Any tv that changes the picture in any way is overdoing it, but natural motion is best...mang
Black Sabbath
So you turning this feature on is not overdoing it? It doesn't look natural to me, man. It ruins the experience for me, if anything. I've turned it off at friends and relatives houses and they all comment on how it looks better afterward. It's an unnatural feature to me, and we'll have to agree to disagree on it, I suppose.
