Crazyman
New trailer released for the first half of the last season:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPn6McKVgOU&list=PLP63B9XPsQt390PW9xZUSwOILzNP3stO7Mad Men has gotta be the most secretive show on television, in terms of keeping everything a complete secret, especially with the "trailers" and the "next week on Mad Men" thing at the end of every episode. Also they released a poster: Edited January 14, 2015 by Crazyman
Sixes
so 7 eps each season?
Crazyman
Yep. Pretty much the only good thing about it getting split into two; there's an extra episode this season.
Lithium
I kinda fell off halfway through season 6, which was really dumb. Gotta get on that shit again asap.

Season 4 is still my favorite.
Sixes
i'm lost...how many eps total for the 2 seasons are there gonna be?
Crazyman
It's one season split into two. Usually Mad Men has 13 episodes per season, but to make it even they added an episode for this one.7 episodes will air starting April 13th and the last 7 of the series will air next spring. Also I'd like to point out that 100% of my friends (I think I'm up to 6 now) that I've told to watch this show have loved it and have become huge fans. GivenToFly
I just finished getting up to date on it. I hadn't seen seasons 5 and 6 and I watched them over the past few days. I'm looking forward to the conclusion although it seems it will take a while to get there.

I hate when shows do that kind of thing, but I have faith in the Mad Men writers. They always seem to come up with great stuff.

Crazyman
Holy media blitz! Matt Weiner (creator of the show) gave a shit ton of interviews and they all just got released around now. AFAIK these are all differen't interviews, I haven't read them all. Also there's a few new pictures, all involving an airport.http://www.vulture.com/2014/03/matthew-weiner-sets-up-mad-mens-season-7.htmlhttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/11/mad-men-season-7-matt-weiner_n_4944240.htmlhttp://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2014/03/11/mad-men-offers-peek-at-final-season-photos/http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/tv/showtracker/la-et-st-mad-men-creator-matthew-weiner-talks-ambitious-final-season-20140311,0,2461268.story#axzz2vd0o1aavhttp://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-watching/mad-men-creator-matthew-weiner-previews-final-seasonEdit: From what I read from two of these interviews, and rumors I've heard before, this season is going to focus heavily on the main characters. I think Weiner specifically mentioned Don, Roger, Joan, Peggy and Pete in an interview. Edited March 12, 2014 by Crazyman
Crazyman
The first episode of the season is called "Time Zones" - that, combined with the promo pictures pretty much confirms the bi-coastal situation this season. The synopsis of the episode:Don makes a friend; Joan has drinks with a client; Roger receives a perplexing phone call; Peggy hears new work.Typical.Also, this is by far the coolest trailer I've ever seen for Mad Men:Oh, and Mad Men is currently on the cover of Time: Edited April 1, 2014 by Crazyman
Lithium
Started where I left off in s6. Will probably get up to date by the end of next week.
Patience 4 Axl
Their trailers suck. Looking forward to the season though. Geez, it's about time. Recently saw a video of John Hamm on a dating show several years back. What a dork, not to mention he lost too.

Crazyman
Freddy Rumsen gets fired from Sterling Cooper for being a drunken mess, which is like Steven Adler getting kicked out of Guns N' Roses for doing too many drugs. -http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/pictures/the-30-best-mad-men-episodes-20140407/12-six-month-leave-season-2-episode-9-0374494Thought that was a pretty good comparison

Lithium
I don't know, man. Just googling around.Yup, watched the last episode of season 6 this morning. I'm looking forward to seeing how they deal with the moon landing and Woodstock.
Crazyman
Mad Men's perfect ending would be Roger going to Woodstock on LSD. Such a turnaround from when you first see him in 1960
Crazyman
^I was joking when I said that but now (after watching the first few minutes of the new episode) I think it's inevitable. Edited April 14, 2014 by Crazyman
