Aren't you the guy who said his girlfriend was watching "Say Yes to the Dress" in the Netflix topic? That's a pretty good indicator she at least enjoys some of the bad things on TV these days. Hope her music tastes are better, man!

I agree with that second part of your post, too. Especially when they wanna flaunt their music or whatever around, despite you saying "I don't like this and don't want to listen to it," and then when you say "Can we please find something we both enjoy?" they blow up over it. I really hate the "one way road" mentality some people seem to have.

No, I don't think it's important. It's handy if there's some overlap so you can listen to stuff together, but it's no dealbreaker.
