Sleep
The song on his last album with Slash playing the guitar wasn't bad. Can't remember what it was called. That album was decent for what it was. Just straight forward rock. Reminded me of a better version of Sixx AM to be honest.

Apollo
One could make a similar claim against Izzy. What songs or albums has Izzy released that made any kind of dent or had any kind of success post GnR?If Izzy was the best songwriter, best guitar player and heart and soul of the band, then surely he must have had loads of success in the past 25 years. How many platinum albums? How many gold albums? How many albums on billboard? How many songs charted? If huge sales and success had anything to do with great music, wed be discussing ONE DIRECTION here on this boardOne direction hasn't been around for 25 years so they probably aren't the best band to use for an example So sales and success aren't properties we can use when determining if music is great or not. Hhmm. Ok. What measures can we use????Not sales. Not charting. Not tour attendance numbers. I will have to start telling people they are wrong when they use the fact that Appetite sold more than 25 million copies and the Illusions debuted at 1 and 2 on billboard as signs that GnR was a great band. Oh, and the Illusions tour broke world attendance records. But according to you, that doesn't matter either. So what measures can we use?How about this. What songs or albums has Izzy released in the last 25 years that had any relevance to the music world? You can say that you are the best chef in the world. But if nobody actually likes your food.......then really, how good are you? Thanks to the people who actually posted obscure Adler material instead of shitposting.Lol. The irony of you saying that cracked me up. A high percentage of your posts are you making "Nobody puts baby in a corner" comments about music you don't like. Often in topics that aren't even about music. Too funny.
bacardimayne
It's pretty obvious that Izzy dropped all fucks he had to give around 1990. His solo albums were basically just him sitting in his den with a guitar and pissing out whatever came to mind at that particular moment. He might have been trying back when it was still called the JuJu Hounds.
highvoltage
His solo albums were basically just him sitting in his den with a guitar and pissing out whatever came to mind at that particular moment.Have you even listened to any of them? I'm not saying they're masterpieces, but that's not a fair appraisal. There is actually some pretty decent stuff there.EDIT: This one too (thanks JB) Edited September 11, 2015 by highvoltage
