Rumin Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 People can say that Slipknot is better than other metals bands all they want. I actually agree with that statement. The only problem is, most other metal bands really aren't good in the first place. I've heard Slipknot's music, so I'm not making blind statements here. They have a good drummer, and the guitar work is decent. But so much of their music is downright awful. One of the problems is that there really isn't much of a melody behind all of the drum pounding and screaming. The other problem is, as I just mentioned, screaming. Screaming about maggots of all things. Slipknot is marketed to junior high/high school kids, and that is what makes up a large portion of their fan base.
