Well I can't stand oasis, Pulp were ok as were Blur. Wasn't a huge fan of any of them but I'd chose pulp and blur over oasis any day.

I've never actually bought any of their stuff though, just listen to my mates cds so I'm now confused and don't know what option to pick.

None of these bands had much in common. Blur are from London. Oasis Manchester. Pulp had been around for 10 years before they got big and Jarvis was from Sheffield?

Blur wrote there songs in the third person and were always ironic about working class life. Whereas Oasis was all first person from the heart type of songs. But were working class if not underclass.

Pulp had some roots in Art School like Blur. But Pulp had been around and were working class Art School students. Blur just middle class toffs. Not that there is anything wrong with it.

Oasis never got a GCSE. Dole-ites.

Blur were postmodern pop band.

Oasis unreconstructed rock n roll.

Oasis arent Brit Pop, they is Brit Rock. And Pulp seemed to be the dark side of rave culture.

There was Cool Brintainia, which was Blur and Damien Hirst but Oasis went to number 10.

Blur anti-Blair.

Oasis pro-Blair.

Confused? I was.

Oasis almost single handedly boosted englands economy in the 90's i dont think they are pro blair though, noel was on an ego trip in the 90's so ofcourse he wouldnt turn down an invitation to meet with blair.
