That's another thing I don't like... this whole image/competition with other rapper/ fight shit. It's stupid with any band (Axl vs. Vince). What's with this crap? Music isn't a competition. It's not a fecking game. It just seems like there's so much of it in rap. There's enough bullshit in the world, and especially enough in fucking high school. I want to leave the drama behind me when I listen to music, not add to it.

Ying Yang Twins- Wait(the wisper song)

Feat. Lil Sprewells Hey how ya doing lil momma let me whisper in ya ear

Tell ya something that ya might like to hear

Got a sexy ass body and yo ass look soft

Mind if I touch it and see if it's soft?

Naw I'm just playin less you say I can

And I'm known to be a real nasty man

And they say a closed mouth don't give in

And I don't mind askin for head

Ya heard what I said, we need to make our way to the bed

You can start using your head

You like to fuck

maybe you'll like this more, one of the best songs ever written:

2Pac - Keep ya head up

{Verse One:}

Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice

I say the darker the flesh then the deeper the roots

I give a holler to my sisters on welfare

Tupac cares, and don't nobody else care

And uhh, I know they like to beat ya down a lot

When you come around the block brothas clown a lot

But please don't cry, dry your eyes, never let up

Forgive but don't forget, girl keep your head up

And when he tells you you ain't nuttin don't believe him

And if he can't learn to love you you should leave him

Cause sista you don't need him

And I ain't tryin to gas ya up, I just call em how I see em

You know it makes me unhappy (what's that)

When brothas make babies, and leave a young mother to be a pappy

And since we all came from a woman

Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman

I wonder why we take from our women

Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?

I think it's time to kill for our women

Time to heal our women, be real to our women

And if we don't we'll have a race of babies

That will hate the ladies, that make the babies

And since a man can't make one

He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one

So will the real men get up

I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up

Keep ya head up, oooo child things are gonna get easier

ooooo child things are gonna get brighter {2x}

{Verse Two:}

Aiyyo, I remember Marvin Gaye, used to sing ta me

He had me feelin like black was tha thing to be

And suddenly tha ghetto didn't seem so tough

And though we had it rough, we always had enough

I huffed and puffed about my curfew and broke the rules

Ran with the local crew, and had a smoke or two

And I realize momma really paid the price

She nearly gave her life, to raise me right

And all I had ta give her was my pipe dream

Of how I'd rock the mic, and make it to tha bright screen

I'm tryin to make a dollar out of fifteen cents

It's hard to be legit and still pay tha rent

And in the end it seems I'm headin for tha pen

I try and find my friends, but they're blowin in the wind

Last night my buddy lost his whole family

It's gonna take the man in me to conquer this insanity

It seems tha rain'll never let up

I try to keep my head up, and still keep from gettin wet up

You know it's funny when it rains it pours

They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor

Say there ain't no hope for the youth and the truth is

it ain't no hope for tha future

And then they wonder why we crazy

I blame my mother, for turning my brother into a crack baby

We ain't meant to survive, cause it's a setup

And even though you're fed up

Huh, ya got to keep your head up

{Verse Three:}

And uhh

To all the ladies havin babies on they own

I know it's kinda rough and you're feelin all alone

Daddy's long gone and he left you by ya lonesome

Thank the Lord for my kids, even if nobody else want em

Cause I think we can make it, in fact, I'm sure

And if you fall, stand tall and comeback for more

Cause ain't nuttin worse than when your son

wants to kno why his daddy don't love him no mo'

You can't complain you was dealt this

hell of a hand without a man, feelin helpless

Because there's too many things for you to deal with

Dying inside, but outside you're looking fearless

While tears, is rollin down your cheeks

Ya steady hopin things don't all down this week

Cause if it did, you couldn't take it, and don't blame me

I was given this world I didn't make it

And now my son's getten older and older and cold

From havin the world on his shoulders

While the rich kids is drivin Benz

I'm still tryin to hold on to my survivin friends

And it's crazy, it seems it'll never let up, but

please... you got to keep your head up

I do really dislike some hip hop, especially the artists. Some of it seems so fake.

However, there are some absoloutely awesome hip hop songs that I love and I don't mind having a quick dance to if i've drunk a suitable amount of alcohol.

If that's the best that hip hop has to offer, then it's no wonder most people here hate it.

No offense to people here, but a lot of you guys are so very narrow-minded. Of course I respect your musical tastes but come on ! I have to say that me and Spoon are the people most into Hip-Hop. Not all of it is about Guns, Cars, Rims, Hoes and Killing. That's what mainstream rap is. Listen to the not so mainstream stuff. Nas, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Immortal Techinque, Grand Master Flash. I don't like Sugar Hill Gang. They did bring Hip Hop mainstream but they have no Cred to their name. Tupac is great. Yes he did become a slight bit popular due to his tragic death but he spoke the truth, he lived the life and exposed us to it. We then knew what was happening in their lives. Nas is a great lyricist. Yes imo, better than Axl. He writes about life on the streets, the struggles, his life, his mom, his family. The music is just another way of expressing themselves. Just like Jimi Hendrix used the guitar to show his feelings along with his lyrics. The same way Axl Rose writes about a Coma he went through and how he wishes he could have stayed there and not return to his probelms. That's what music is ! Something that touches you. It opens a new window for us to look through. Opens doors for the people struggling. It's a lifesyle and yes. I dont give a fuck who you are ! You gotta respect it. I was a fan of Hip Hop music way before I've even heard of Guns N' Roses and Hip Hop, beleive it or not, has a special place in my heart. I know that at the moment I'm having a good life. That people before me have had it worse. I respect these rappers for that. So to anyone who hasn't botheres to listen to rap and say it sucks, Yo suck! :fuckyou: Open your fuckin' eyes and listen to some good music..

Nas - Dance

One more time, one more time

Huh, one more time, huh

One more time

I dream of the day I could go back to when I was born

Laying in your arms, wishing you was here today mom

Wish you the pid

Just for a second from heaven my tears would be gone

I wouldn't be rapping this song

I'd be happy driving up to your 8 bed room mansion

Ablade, laughing bout the hard time we faced

The galaxy is so enchanting beyond, Galileo's understanding

Past the milky way and all the planets

There's something out there greater

But only god knows, scientist claim we came from apes

But they lies though, that was part of our conversation

I spark went up a star blazing

Thinking of how amazing she was

A angel gave me love

I'm thankful, to ever know a women so real

I pray when I marry my wife'll have one of your skillz

But mom you could never be replaced

I'd give my life up

Just to see you one more day

To have...

[Chorus]

One more dance with you mama

If I could only have

One more dance with you mama

Praying, wish that I could have

One more dance with you mama

If I could only have

One more dance with you mama

I wish you were here,

I miss you more each second I breathe

You resting in peace forever I accepted you free

A blessing to me, I see you dressed in all white

Smiling at me, happy knowing everything's all right

If only I could hear your voice and your laughter

Just one more time, my chest would be filled up with sunshine

April 7, 42

That's when the gates of heaven opened up for you to stroll threw

Beautiful Anne Jones

Job is done, raising ghetto kids in the hood

You was my strength to carry on and now I'm good

Job well done, you lived threw you sons and your grandchildren

Jesus finally got his bridge, mommy dance with em

And you've been my guide threw all the trouble I faced

They playing our song the lifebeat my hand on your waist

I grab your other hand and try not to step on your toes

Spin you around with my eyes closed

Dreaming I could have

[Chorus]

I love you forever mom

You will always live threw me ... always

Huh, huh huh, yea

A song about his mom who passed away thanks to Cancer <_<

Nas - Dance If you people can do me one favor; Download this song.. please :) Be a bit open-minded just this once..

I like some Hip Hop for the agressive vibe and some of those joints are good for romancing a lady. But as far relating to the songs. Like Straight Outta Compton is a stornin' tune but I can't say I relate to it. But music for me is enertainment, so its all good. 50 Cent is this other I'm interested in but I'm not sure where he's coming from. But music is music.
