First of all, The Doors were a great innovative band. But they aren't The Rolling Stones. The Stones are on a level of their own, really.

the Stones are probably the most versatile band ever. gotta love 'em. the Doors are cool, but they don't even come close to Mick and Co.

Smoke some pot, and listen to "Riders on the storm". It helps if there is a light rain storm happening while you hear it.

Just a thought. Not that I endorse drug use, but it helps when listening to the Doors.

The Doors are greater in a more "narrow" way...the Stones on the other hand are greater in a more "general" way. Both rock, but its obvious that the Rolling Stones are the greater rock band...but nobody sounds like the Doors...

The Doors is the most overrated band ever on the face of the planet! Although I will admit I do like the song "Light My Fire" but that's it. Rolling Stones by zillions of miles! I'm sry but I think the Doors is a horrible band

No way in HELL is the DOORS an overated band. I own most of there albums, and they are all great. Jim Morrison was a great poet, and thats what most of his music was. Great Poetry. That is why I like it. The Stones are a classic rock band, that is hard to match, but the Doors are most definetly not overated, nor horrible.
