NIN vs. MCR

Sound obvious to me, Nine Inch Nails kicks My Chemical Romance's ass, but a friend of mine came up with this idea that MCR was better than NIN. We even argued, and he stood with that. Is it possible that someone can say something like this?

I love both, i recently brought MCR 3 cheers for sweet revenge, and i love it, although im also a huge fan of NIN so, i love them both

I agree its hard to compare two different bands.. I think MCR is okay but nowhere near as good as Trent Reznor. basically MCR fits into a recent fad of music that will probably die out while NIN is able to exist with years between each album and still find a devoted and loyal audience.

I went to a NIN concert here in Rio last year,it was pretty good in my opinion..this band have my respect.

But MCR is just a big pile of emo-goth-gay-punkpop crap.I like Helena,but the band is pure shite,specially the lead singer,who looks like Siouxsie from Siouxsie and the Banshees.
