GnR/WWE connection..........

Anyone think GNR should hook up with the WWE for more advertising and possibly be the theme for the Survivor Series PPV slated for November? Just another way to get out to more people as RAW is the highest rated cable show on US TV besides Monday night football.

I can't see how it would help GN'R to be associated with mcmahon and his travelling freak show of smack heads and steroid abusers.

Exactly.

You don't sell your soul to them, you'll get tied down, and won't reap many rewards.

I can hardly name any artists who've contributed themes, bar Saliva and Limp Bizkit. And where are they now?

The only thing gayer than the idea of GNR hooking up with wwe would be a gay porn.

Horrible idea

but thanks for the 40 posts in three years... :rofl-lol:

A8R

:rofl-lol::D That was so stupid that it was funny.

I don't want GnR to do anything with WWE. It would be more bad publicity than good.

I´m a fan of GNR and wwe for a long time...

and sometimes I imagine..

I f I were a wrestler, I could imagine myself getting in the ring to the sound of welcome to the jungle...

lights out...the first note of wttj (live versions)....the attendance going nuts..people watching at home going crazy......

and then just when the main riff of the verses start, pyro blows up all the arena...

and then I kick randy orton( the biggest dumbass on wwe).....

on the topic.. I think it was a good idea....but only viewing if it works... dont know..

WWE was mega popular in the late 90s with the NWO, Austin, Rock and all that.....but its not as big as it once was....these new characters are a shell of their predecessors.

With that being said, I wouldnt mind GNR being the "official song" of Survivor Series, just as long as GNR DOES NOT show up to perform. I don't want to see Axl Rose high fiving John Cena. But GNR as background music to Survivor Series or Wrestlemania is fine, and will help with exposure. Limp Bizkit and Nickelback both used WWE PPVs to promote singles.

It worked for Limp Bizkit......oh wait...no it didn't

It didn't? Limp's "My Way" was the theme song to Wrestlemania 17 and went on to be one of the bands biggest singles....and on top of that the song kicked ass as a theme song and is one of the most memorable.

Bands continue to get in line to be WWE PPV theme songs. It's automatic worldwide exposure to millions.

Well, Metallica once allowed WWE to use one of their songs as a pay-per-view theme.

Unfortunately, it was "St. Anger", one of the worst songs in the history of recorded music.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the record companies pay WWE to give their bands exposure. That's why so many of the bands that do the theme songs are up-and-coming bands. GNR doesn't need that.

I don't think GNR should associate themselves with a synthetic form of entertainment, such as "wrestling".

Metallica, Motorhead, U2, AC/DC

Nobody TOO famous.

It would be a great move for GNR
