ChineseDemocracy2004 Posted November 30, 2006 Share Posted November 30, 2006 Hello,i usually don't post in here, so erm..yeah..I'm a fan of deep purple, and i've become aware that they are touring at the moment, also they are coming to manchester next spring and i was wondering if they'd play anything from the Deepest Purple: The Very Best of Deep Purple album or would it be mostly songs from their newest album? They played two songs from rapture of the deep, and lotsa great classic songs.Very good setlist, and yes you would find many of the songs on that best of album. They nailed Highway Star and shit when I saw them... his voice is still pretty incredible. He hit some absolutely huge notes.The only problem with Gillan is that he dances like my Dad on stage. Have a backstage pass courtesy of Gillan himself And yes they played Child in Time in 2002. It's on youtube He can still hit those notes pretty good.
