FunkyMonk Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Stadium Arcadium was a big disappointment. Quote

Spoon87 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Stadium Arcadium was a big disappointment....and yet at least I like it because it was the soundtrack of my summer this year.I have a love / hate relationship with this album. Quote
aidlook Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I love stadium arcadium. especially "so much I" "desecration smile" and "she turns to me".But the last two videos (snow and tell me baby) have been boring compared to their other videos (wich are some of the greatest ever made IMO). Quote
Yamisonic Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 The video to Tell Me Baby is geniusI love the album, it rocks, great atmosphere to itAnd Snow rocks, but there are way better songs, like Wet Sand Quote
Carne_asaDA Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 The next single will be Hump De Bump and it will be directed by comedian Chris Rock. Quote
EverythingWasRoses Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 The next single will be Hump De Bump and it will be directed by comedian Chris Rock.uggghHump De Bump is the worst song on the album IMOthey need to put out: storm in a teacup, wet sand, or CharlieLove this album though, my cousin played it when we were driving - It got me into the RHCP Quote
inthisriver Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Snow is pretty awesome. The whole album is great. Quote
Zeppelin Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 It's a great album, but the second disc suffers from filler problems for me. The first disc is amazing. Quote
*CrAzY cAt* Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I love Stadium Arcadium so much! bought it last week even though i'd known it already by heart XDSnow is one of my favs!!! Quote
FunkyMonk Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Stadium Arcadium made me lose interest in the Chili Peppers. I used to love them...then I bought this album, and now I hardly listen to them. They should have kept doing albums in the 'By the Way' sot of vein. Instead of trying to be 'funky', it sounds forced. Quote

adnan Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Dude, RHCP are a funk-metal band, it's their fuckin' signature.. "By the Way" isn't an RHCP record. "BSSM" is, "Uplift Mofo Party Plan", "Mother's Milk"... It's the signature shit! "Californication" was their best record to break from their signature genre. "Stadium Arcadium" is consistent beyond belief. It's so consistent that nothing stands out, and nothing seems special, just good. That's its problem. Quote

That's its problem.Hey I'm a big Chili Pepper fan and I love the earlier records a lot more than the newer ones. Blood Sugar is easily their best record (for me), because it was their sound, but then they changed how they sounded to become the guys who did Californication and By the Way. It still sounded like Chili Peppers though, somehow. But then Stadium Arcadium came out, and I bought it the first day it came out, on the basis that Dani California was such a great song (which it is, I still like it), but the album sounded forced to me. Like they had to crumble to the pressure of everyone wanting them to do a more 'back to their old sound' kinda 'funky' record, and to me it just sounds forced. The only thing I really like about it now is Frusciante's solo's. Plus Stadium Arcadium just all blends together. But maybe thats just me... Quote
Solid snake 89 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I love SA, all the tracks are good to listen to, like on all the albums, unlike some bands where you have to skip through some tracks. Words from Flea back in April "If you don't like this record, you don't like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Period." Quote
*CrAzY cAt* Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I like more the last CHili Peppers than the earlier (apart from BSSM which is ok)...and the records with Frusciante above all..the man rocks my socks *_* Quote
lagofala Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Stadium Arcadium rocks. But Hump De Bump sux.I listen to jupiter more than mars.Slow cheetah or torture me are my favs.Snow's great too. Very different Quote
johnezz Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Turn it Again is the best song on the Album by far, the Solo is fucking awesome. Storm in a Teacup is kickass too. 2nd disk is wayyyy better. Quote
New Rose Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 The single is horrible, and the record is bad too. What happened to that sleazy summery californian rock, or the bone-crushing mayhem funk? Quote
