LCG
Poison sucks the [EDIT] of [EDIT]. I'd like to say something really rude, but [EDITS] will suffice for now. Poison is better than Nirvana and red hot chili peppers combined Unfortunately, unlike Jackamo Chris actually means it.

Getizzyback
Funny how people are warned when bashing GN'R , but it's OK to bash other groups , go figure. Just don't know why it's so important for some of you guys , to make it known how much you don't like a certain group.........so the fuck what........GET OVER IT...PLEASE! Lithium
Not necessarily, but in terms of influence it does, considering that Poison hasn't really influenced any good musicians and that at least The Beatles and Stones has influenced pretty much every rock musician alive today. Lithium
They created a drum-beat that later developed into new drum-beats, that again developed rock 'n' roll, even though those Africans created the very basics of what became rock, they didn't really make any impact on the genre, like The Beatles and The Stones did. nathalie92
Poison is one of my fave bands, i love what they did in the 80's and in the 90's they were more than a hair metal band and it's a mistake to put them in that category. Bret Michaels is a brilliant songwriter and singer, his lyrics are very touching and honest it's imposible to say something wrong about Every Rose Has It's thorne, Life Goes On,Something To Believe In or Until you suffer Some (Fire And Ice). C.C is an amazing guitar player his solos are the soul and the key of Poison's songs, and what i really like about them is that the intensisty of their music. I think it's not fair to compare both styles Grunge and the Glam rock form the 80's, each decade had their ups and downs, good songs bad songs but nothings stays hip and trendy forever and these 2 genres are the proof of that.I still listen to them all the time just like use to do 15 years ago, it's a shame that this band has always been underrated they are definitely more than just big hair and spandex clothing.
