JoGer99
Hey Marc.I've got a few questions :1. Sebastian Bach said in 2008 that Axl had "started a while back" writing his autobiography. Do you know when he started ?2. Did Axl ever talk to you about it ?3.How would he have talked about Slash in it ?4.Will he ever publish it ?Thanks in advance
Lio
Axl said something about that in the chats of 2008:ThinkAboutYou: Axl sebastian bach mentioned you were writing an autobiography how is that progressing?Axl: It's not exactly an autobiography as much as legal record of every last detail of what went down with the breakup. I have about 40k words on it (don't know where 1200 came from) but it's generally really depressing so I don't go back to it so much.

SoulMonster
I wish he would put that out and get it off his chest but I don't think he ever will. Why ?Probably because "it's generally really depressing so I don't go back to it so much."

love&hates
He'd probably get a lot of shit for it tooAgree. I think thats part of the reason why he doesnt do it .The way he probably sees it ....nothing he could ever say would change people mind about certain stuff , so why do it ? but yeah like recklessroad said i think he should do it , just for himself . At least he would finally put out there his full version of what went on , instead of this bits here and there that he lets out sometimes. If you feel like you have been misunderstood, is your right to say it . Im not saying that Axl version would be the most correct one or not , but still would help uypeople to undertand where he head and heart where at the time . Thats important

He seems to be fine with what people say about him and what they think happened, so i'm not surprised that he hasn't put anything out there yet, whether it's an autobiography or legal record or whatnot. Padme
He'd probably get a lot of shit for it tooWell, if Axl claims in his book that what he says it´s the truth, the whole thruth and nothing but the truth. Yes, he will be in trouble. But if he just tells his side of the story. And he is willing to say that other people may have other point of view. I don´t see any problem with that. Both Slash and Duff made that kind disclaimer. Now there is other stuff about Axl´s private life that he may not want to make public.

All due respect, that viewpoint is insanity to me. Axl has never given the impression that he can shrug off what people say and think about him. I would venture to say that he is basically obsessed with how he's viewed. THAT is what has paralyzed him, imo.

He probably sees any resistance as futile at this point. He's given up, but that doesn't mean he's stopped caring. It's quite sad, when you think about it. How I see it, TB and Axl have conflicting interests. What would be the best for Axl ? Having a girlfriend/wife, having friends around, people who are not dependent on him in any way and want only the best for him, who have nothing to gain from him in terms of money, fame etc. You know, friends, like we all have. But Axl doesn’t trust anyone, he thinks they’re all out ta get him, they're after his money, fame… (And judging from what I’ve heard from TB, they do nothing to change his conviction.) So what does he do ? He hires his adopted family (Beta, Vanessa, her boyfriend, Fernando, cousins…) making them all dependent. He hires friends (like Del), he hires people to spot pretty girls at shows and to hand out party passes, making each and every one around him dependent on him. (Can you see the irony ?)If Axl were to meet someone or to trust anyone, his world wouldn’t be so small anymore and TB’s hold on him would certainly become weaker. Hence conflicting interests.Of course I'm only speculating here, but that's my take on it.

On the contrary , i do beleive he cares way too much .So when he thinks about telling his own truth , because the opinion people already have of him ...he probably says is not worth it. Achieving what he has achieved and being the rock idol he is, I don't understand why he still doubts what he can do and who he is...Why opinions of people like fans (i.e. the fans he has personally attacked along the years) matter for him so much? Why why why? He made amazing music, his voice is (was for some) perfect, he had it all... beauty, fame, talent, money, women.... how can he be so insecure?? Then what's left for suckers like me?LOL I just don't get it...
