The Six Degrees of Slash

Recommended Posts

Slash has played with so many musicians over the years that I thought it might be a fun brain excersize to play the six degrees of Slash, much like the Kevin Bacon game.

Simple...

Name a musician and let other people connect that musician to Slash within 6 other musical associations or less.

(It's not necessary to complete the chain. If Kid Rock is the subject and you know that Sheryl Crow wrote Picture with Kid Rock then you can stop there. Someone else who knows that Sheryl Crow covered SCOM can complete the chain).

God I hope that made sense!!

I will start.

Zakk Wylde

To Axl to Slash?  I was going to say bowie was asked by elvis to produce his next album a few months before elvis died.  Elvis performed in vegas with tom jones.  Chris slade drummer for tom jones.  Axl/dc with slade.  Slash with Axl.

Ok then..

Barbra Streisand

I googled a little, is it okay?

Barbra Streisand did a duet with Donna Summer "No more Tears"

Donna Summers sang "Protection" written by Bruce Springsteen, he also does the backing vocals and the guitar solo on the track.

Bruce Springsteen sang "Come together" with Axl

Axl---> Slash

Jeff Buckley (i'm curious if there is a connection, i don't have idea)

Jeff Buckley covered Leonard Cohen's Hallellujah, Myles Kennedy has performed the same song live.

Duff named his daughter Grace after Jeff Buckley's album.

A Leonard Cohen song (Everybody Knows iirc) was used as intro to the GnR shows during the UYI tour.
