  1. I bet the surprise in LA is something stupid like Nikki Sixx onstage, and him and Ashba doing a Shit AM song

Hopefully he brings Vince Neil then cause he and Axl are such good friends.

Axl could have taken him 20 years ago and he can take him now.

    Of course.

Are we talking about a singing contest?

Fist fight, singing contest - Axl will win both

Fist fight, not sure singing, no contest. Take a look on youtube, Vince Is awful live.

  2. Those acts start way earlier than Guns N' Roses.

I understand that, but how often do Guns N Roses come around. This Is a band you might get the chance to see once or twice every 5-10 years. So take a day off of work get a babysitter and enjoy the show, after all this Is a band thats been late for 25 years, nothing new here.

  3. was arena packed??

probably not sold out, but it was packed well. started to thin out by 0100. the upper bowl seats were curtained off and not sold, though. i have been at key for metallica, clapton, pearl jam, etc where the entire capacity was full.

Shame when Its full for Metallica and not G N R. Not that I dont like some Metallica but the whole napster thing was a complete turn off and In my opinion they sound like shit live now.

  4. So Duff played So Fine N´Attitude? Seems to be a small lame and dead crowd as reported on another forum. I can´t believe it. It sucks big time to see this godamn great band under that circumstance. What´s wrong with most of US crowds?

I am from the US and you touched on a very good point. U.S. crowds In general just plain suck. I was lucky enough to catch two shows on this tour. One In wilkes barre pa and one In youngstown ohio and they were like night and day. The crowd In wilkes barre was the worst crowd I have ever seen for a concert and the youngstown crowd was great with almost everyone on there feet the entire show. Its a shame that they dont get the love and respect In this country as they do In Brazil and Argentina. If I were the band I would make this the final tour In the U.S. and play In the countries where they are respected and people actually show up.

  5. Monkeys during Jungle.

    Dolphins during Estranged.

    Super-sized Spiders during OMG.

Patient bed with a heart monitor during Coma.

Demons, skeletons & a blind man following DJ around the stage in chains during Perfect Crime.

A boxing ring during Get in the Ring.

And Axl will give people in the crowd some magic mushroom pizzas during My World, "guess what I'll do now" part. Ahhh...

Then invite a random giraffe on stage, just to confuse the shit out of everybody, like they did with the random midgets in 2006.

Then they'll end the show announcing the new album, Red Panda.

LOL. Thats a must see show.

  6. "Give them an inch, and they'll take a mile."

Guys, its cool to want them to play songs...but don't take advantage of the fact that we've gotten two songs played. Civil War and Estranged were gifts, essentially. Stop begging for the band to play different songs, because it's going to grow incredibly tiresome. We went years with the same 20ish songs. Appreciate that we've gotten Estranged and Civil War!

Actually they should give us 2 miles. Guns N' Roses, just as any other band, couldn't exist without their fans, fans are everything. Same shit with democracy, in definition it puts people in the first plan, in practice it's a whole nother story.

Why should they give us 2 miles. What do we give them(poor chinese democracy sales, lame crowds at the shows and mediocre ticket sales).Everyone that shows up to a show should leave more than satisfied. They are giving the people a 3 hour show which In Itself Is simply amazing considering no other act that I have personally witnessed has come close to 3 hours. People cryed for Estranged to be put back In the setlist and the band obliged, then It was civil war and again the band obliged. I think they have went above and beyond to satisfy the people on this leg of the tour.

  7. 1. Three Rivers Stadium 7-26-1992. Use Your Illusion Tour. What more needs to be said. 2. Covelli Centre 12-07-2011. Awesome show with civil war and estranged In the same set. Good crowd. 3. Mohegen Sun Arena 11-20-2011. Very good performance with without a doubt the worst crowd for a concert that I have ever personally seen. 4. Mellon Arena 11-22-2002. Ok performance but the jersey dreadlocks and buckethead did nothing for me.

  8. The second poster hit the nail on the head. In short, if it were the original lineup... hell, if Slash was the only other original member on stage with Axl, GNR would sell out stadiums anywhere in the world, whenever they wanted to.

End of story. There is no need to dig up any other reason or excuse. An attempt to do so is desperate and futile.

Well I am glad someone is the authority on the subject.

It's the absolute truth. I know countless fans, and it would seem so do a lot of other folks on this forum, who WON'T go see Axl Rose and a bunch of 'hired guns' or whatever you want to call it (for the record, I call it Guns N' Roses and thoroughly enjoy their concerts and original/newer material). Those very same fans WOULD go see Axl and the tophat on stage together. They could rival U2 in the concert world, even today after the split.

If they would have worked things out and stayed together, they had a shot at being the greatest rock band of all time. Or at least worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, U2 or Pink Floyd.

It's not a knock, that's just how it is.

The simple reason why GNR isn't as mainstream and popular as a band like Coldplay, or any other act out there that has a large following, is the fact that Slash is not in the band. No matter how Axl feels or hardcore fans or anyone feels about the current state of GNR (whether it's a band or not), it does not matter. For every one person that thinks GNR is a band (like me) and understands how it's gotten to where it has, there's a half dozen casual fans who see it as the Axl Rose solo project and see a guy riding the coat tails of original GNR's success. People look at it as a cash grab and a farce.

They are one of the greatest rock bands of all time and they will be mentioned In the same breath as zeppelin,The stones,U2 and Pink Floyd.

  9. I can't think of another performer that would be able to get away with the stuff Axl does. Why when someone throws a shirt at Axl am I afraid of him ending the show? Obviously anyone else could do that if they got upset but either no one does or its certainly not as frequent. But why did Axl never have to change? You'd think at some point all the cancellations and arguments he's started would eventually affect attendance, etc.

Personally, if someone threw a shirt at Tom Petty, or really just name anyone, I don't think it would get me afraid that the show was about to end. I know I'll probably get a bunch of joke answers but its something I'm actually curious about. I know Axl's awesome but that just doesn't seem like enough to sustain that reason for almost 25 years.

Unfortunatley he Isnt getting away with It. On the Illusions tour they would play In front of 20-70,000 people and today they are playing to 5-10,000 people. Its unfortunate because this band Is more than amazing live and have the potential to play to much bigger crowds.

I... WANT... THAT... CAKE... RIGHT... NOW...!

Looks like a tiny arena with alot of empty seats. Cant for the life of me understand why someone would spend between 50-70 dollars for a ticket and leave early. I sat beside 5 people In wilkes Barre that stayed for 3 songs and left.

  11. Looks as empty as Wilkes-Barre. Hope more people show up

I was In Wilkes Barre and you are absolutley right, there were alot of empty seats and the crowd was beyond pathetic. I feel bad for anyone who was to young to witness the Illusions tour. Those were the days.

  12. Great show. This band Is simply amazing live. I have to say I have been to probably sixty concerts In my lifetime and this was one of the worst crowds I have ever seen(energy-attendance). Other than that It was a great show, so If you are on the fence about buying a ticket, do yourself a favor, get a ticket and witness one of the last great frontman of all time

  13. Anyone have any Idea how good or bad these seats are, Section c117 Row R seats 1-4. Section c117 looks decent and I was just wondering how the seats ran. Is seat 1-4 closer to the stage or further away. Thanks alot for looking and for any Information on the section and seats.

Being from the area and seeing many shows there, I can honestly say that there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

Thanks alot Real McCoy, really looking forward to this show.

  15. Where's that cocksucker who created an entire thread devoted to propagating the lie that they were selling miserably? Yeah where is he now? Probably posting under some alt like the coward pussy he is.

LMFAO - selling less than 6k is miserable you dolt.

Was the capacity really that small in Orlando?

What about the rest of the shows, at least in SA?

    Orlando venue capacity:

    17,740 concert seating (end stage)

    From:

    Amway Center Concert Capacity

I wouldnt consider making 339,000 for a 3hr show miserable. How much do you make In 3hrs.

  16. I like it as raspy as it can be too don't get me wrong, but I'll take Estranged anyway I can get it. I like Oklahoma '92 where he throws in "I doubt it" after the "Maybe I'll get it right next time" . Another one I look for him to nail is the "break the chains, we built together" part in Maddy.

I agree on taking It anyway you can get It and the I doubt It part. I have to admit though In my opinion Maddy would have been a much better song without the Martin Luther King speech.

  17. 2nd part of estranged.

Is this being sarcastic, cause of all the people complaining that he doesn't use enough rasp? If not is there a performance from this tour that sticks out that you liked the best?

No uzi. Im not being sarcastic In anyway but I dont think there Is enough rasp In any of the 2011 versions. My favorite versions are Stuttgart 92, Uniondale 91, toronto 91 and New Haven 93.
