  1. Now that we're talking about The Stones, what's the name of that song that kinda has this black chick (sounds black  ) singing very soulful in the background. It's very popular I guess. They play it A LOT in some local station, I just never stick around to hear the name <_<

God Dammit. Now you got me thinking what this song is.

It's not "Harlem Shuffle" is it? No, that can't be it.

    Well, you got me stumped!

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well, it could be Gimme Shelter, but I have a feeling that it's another one. I'm pretty stumped too :monkey:

You got it. It has to be Gimme Shelter.

  5. I've always been into the Beatles. Really got into John Lennon when I saw "Imagine" in the late 80's. Great movie. The guy was a great artist and is still missed to this day.

  6. To those of you who hate to read books, this is an EASY READ. Believe me, I don't read books on a regular basis, but this one goes by quick, and once you're finished, you'll want to read it again. THUMBS UP!!

  7. I love Stevie Ray Vaughn. I'll never forget where I was the day he died.

On a purely selfish note, SRV was opening for Eric Clapton, and I would have seen him in concert opening for Clapton a few months later.

  8. Van Halen - Right here,right now

    GnR - Live era

Cheap Trick - Live at the Budokon(the title might be wrong, I lent it to a friend a few years ago, and I never got it back!!)

    Nirvana- Unplugged

  9. David Lee Roth is his own worst enemy. He left in 1985. He wanted to make a movie(remember that fiasco?), and go solo. He had 1 or 2 decent solo albums and an tour that did OK. Unfortunately, the new VH was kicking the shit out of him with their albums and tours. He had a chance to get back in the band in 1996, and that lasted what....a whole day?? Eddie and Alex hate Dave that much!! They could have made a shitload of cash, everyone wanted to see that reunion.....but Ed and Al realized right away that they could not put up with Dave and his crap.

Dave was great from 76-85, and has gone downhill ever since. Last year he was a paramedic, now he is gonna be a morning DJ. How the mighty have fallen. He hasn't even done a reality TV show... yet.

Sammy was a good with Montrose in the early 70's and a good solo act until 1985.

From 85-96, Sammy was awesome with VH. He could hit the high notes, Dave never could. The album sales don't lie. And the tours were selling out all over.

And Gary Cherone, bad choice by Eddie. He did it out of spite. The tour was very weak, instead of 20,000 a night, it was 9 or 10,000.

That being said, I love both Dave and Sammy.
