I love both of these guys. If I had to pick one, it would be Edward Van Halen.
What sucks about Randy, is we have almost no video footage of him playing with Ozzy and Quiet Riot before that. This was before videos became the rage.

I like them a lot. Good rock band.
We need more bands like White Stripes, and less rap.

was just listening to the axl rant from sacromento 93.. where he goes off on metallica....... he is so right those guys suck

I like Audioslave. It makes sense, because I like Soundgarden and Rage. Good band.

I love both bands. I'd pick the Rolling Stones over Led Zep only because the Stones came first.

I saw GnR 3 times. 88 opening for Aerosmith. 91(the St.Louis Riot) and 1992 in Kansas City with Body Count and Mettalica.
He won't be allowed in St.Louis anymore, but any tour would be nice. I guess I'll have to travel....again.

How come I only see one person in a five page thread with a realistic answer?
No promoter is going to touch them with a ten foot clown pole. Look at the factors :
- the lead singer is prone to storming offstage for his own reasons
- this is when he shows up at all
- ticket sales on that 2002 US tour were very disappointing
- can you even market this band after that 2002 debacle?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Correct me if I'm wrong, but in 2002, didn't Clear Channel put a clause in the contract that it would cost Axl 1 million dollars per no show/cancellation, and after the 2nd one the tour would be cut off?
I agree, what promoter would even touch it?

And please... nobody bring up a possible GnR performance at it because it's not gonna happen.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Then why post it in Gn'R Discussion & News?
R.

I was just about to say that.

I'm baffled by that as well....

This is for the Van Halen fans. Their first album came out in 1978. Every album they released has sold a minimum of 1-million(except for VH3, w/G.Cherone).
One of the biggest bands of the 80's and 90's, and they still haven't been inducted. They were eligible as of 2003.
They have been bumped by some Motown acts, etc... And, I know, some other worthy acts have not been inducted either (ie: Kiss, Black Sabbath).
I'd love to see it. Eddie, Alex, Mike, Dave and Sammy would have to be there, on one stage. I think G.Cherone would politely decline to show up.
Why aren't they in yet?
