You're a Suicide fan?  Who'd've thunk it.  I saw them open for The Stooges.  Alan Vega was a fuckin' nutcase back in the day.

I don't know that I'd say I'm a fan. I read a book something like 261 best albums since punk and disco and it mentioned that album, so I gave it a listen. I haven't heard it in a few years though, Frankie Teardrop kinda gave me the heebie jeebies.

  2. I never watched his show growing up. It never caught my interest. Whenever he was on, I'd flip the channel. The documentary does look interesting, though. From all I've read and seen recently, he was a great man. I love the video where he appears before congress regarding funding public television and he completely changed their minds.

Seriously? Maybe I'm biased because it's my favorite franchise, but I think it looks better than Jurassic World.

And apparently the footage in the trailer is only from the first hour of the film.

What makes you say the line won't be in the movie? From what I can tell, he's saying it at a hearing where they're getting his thoughts on if the dinosaurs should be protected or not.

Well that line wasn't in the movie. Guess I was right.

I watched AXS Nothing But Trailers show and it says this movie will be released on November 7. The trailer looks amazing and I get a little choked up when I see it.

I think by the time Freddie dies I will be crying. The guy playing Freddie looks like he did an amazing job, but you know it's Freddie doing the singing and Queen playing the songs.

I think and I hope this movie is going to be an amazing tribute to Queen.

Which would have been okay if he had been safe about it. It's a damn shame Freddie wasn't more careful, but he lived his life the way he wanted to. Bless him for that.

I’ve got a good source that says Martel does Freddie’s singing voice. He’s the voice you hear doing the improv at the beginning of the trailer.

A lot of people who saw the trailer are worried that Freddie is "straight washed" in this film. I think they missed that part where he was holding a guy's hand. This film as we know portrays Freddie from about 1971 to 1985, so during that time, Freddie had his fair share of female partners as well as men especially from 1976 and on. Freddie was always an enigma. His former classmates from India said he was gay, Brian and Roger thought for the longest time he was straight, based on the number of fit girls he brought to the dressing room but later on started noticing he started bringing men in. They thought nothing of it.

I think all we will get is an honest depiction of Freddie. They will probably hint at his outrageous lifestyle but this film will be about Queen, not just Freddie. The character of Mary will probably have a bigger role, as she was probably the most important person in Freddie's life. Expect a lot of triggered LGBTQ in the media.

Well they did cast someone as Jim Hutton, so I don't think he'll be "straight-washed". I have a feeling his sexuality won't even be a huge issue in the movie.

They're not really my cup of tea. I'd never heard of either of them and the only reason I did was when I scouted to find who played that solo a few years back. By the sounds of it, he's the Ole Beich of Adam and the Ants?

Not a bad credit for that fella to have though. Impressive take on the solo too.

He’s so insignificant to the history of Adam and the Ants that he wasn’t even one of the Ants that Malcolm McLaren stole to form Bow Wow Wow.

  7. Pssh. Johnny Bivouac? I thought you meant Marco. Johnny Bivouac is less than a footnote in rock history. Less than a footnote in the history of Adam and the Ants.

Fantastic purchase. One of my favorite songs. Really liked the 'rock mix' version that appeared on the Freddie Mercury collection with the guitarist from Adam and the Ants doing the solo.

Hold up, Marco Pirroni is on a Freddie song? I'm not finding that info anywhere, do you have a source?
