I take it the 2nd date in London puts the mail in the coffin for a Scottish date? I know there’s a few days available but why not announce it as part of the original plan?

Venues can have exclusivity deals. There's a gap there for Scotland, but who knows.

The Hydro is prob best Arena ive been too but with 13,000 cap its not happening

If you look on B.com Hotels in Edi are horrendous prices the wk before & after Dublin

The 2nd show will take demand from the North no doubt its still hundreds of miles for some people they will know this maybe look at Events in H Park &  M field around the time what gaps do thry have

They must be working on logestics

What about where the Rewind festival takes place, it's quite central, 30k capacity and has on site parking

I've been to the 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' once, for an NFL game.

The playing arena is excellent - a amazing atmosphere, with every seat feeling like its right by the on-pitch action.

Not sure how this will work out for a rock concert, though. The roof is designed to retain as much sound within the stadium as possible

Great for amplifying the noise of a cheering sports crowd. Probably not so good for a rock band. IF we hear anything in between the waves of reverb, we will be doing well.

Oh well, sound quality in stadiums is never great.

Let's make the best of it.

    https://www.musicweek.com/live/read/tottenham-hotspur-fc-plan-first-class-concerts-for-2019/072818

“The design of the new stadium enables the hosting of first-class concerts, with acousticians consulted throughout the process and stands with close proximity to the pitch creating a unique atmospheric experience.”

Ah you think. I suppose that could work

it gives the Tottenham stadium first dibs on the ticket buying public, once that is sold out, they'll be fine with a Scotland gig. I cannot see any other reason for the gap, logistically, it would take two days to get from mainland Europe to Ireland.

That’s what I’m hoping for , there’s enough time round the Ireland date to add a Scotland date.

It'll be that, it's 15 hours to ship stuff over to Newcastle or Rosyth from the Netherlands, then the same trip western Scotland, or Liverpool to Ireland. From Ireland, they'll fly home.

It looks good on paper anyway

Scotland shafted again, it's a fkin joke.

There will be a Scotland date. If you look at the tour dates, it's Holland (NL), then a gap, then Ireland. There's only one place in between. It'll be the 24th or 25th June. If you read the press releases, Tottenham have some kind of exclusivity deal, so a Scotland date will have to be announced later on.

Ah, makes sense why Balham was more alright for you then.  Never lived in London myself, I just go there a lot, being from the home counties there’s nowhere else to fuckin’ go really  Where abouts in Herts were you at?

    Hatfield and St Albans

DENS PARK IN DUNDEE WOULD BE PERFECT

I couldn't see that working. It would have to be Camperdown Park or somewhere bigger.

They could play where Rewind takes place near Scone, somewhere random like that. It's a difficult one.

The like the idea of Tottenham Hotspurs stadium in the other thread. It supposed to have the best acoustics and great hospitality. I could travel to London for that

I always used to record Raw Power and watch it Saturday morning, waiting for new vids from Faith No More, Skid Row, Extreme etc... Ah the gold old days.

I used to be out on a Friday night, so would nornally watch it. I never figured out the recording thing on the VHS. Do you remember those numbers you typed in from the TV guide to record certain programs. It was all over my head.

Hampden is garbage as a venue (for footy AND concerts...) and reckon Hydro is too small. Murrayfield isn’t perfect but a better option.

I just don't like driving or parking in Glasgow, and like you said, the venues aren't great. The other cities are better. For the SECC, we always park at the BBC now then walk across the bridge. Better than the multi storey, get away quicker at the end.

I was in a nice hotel in West Hampstead but where a lot of the other Durham fans were staying, a Premier Inn, was in some shithole, cop cars racing down the street. A chap I know said there was a guy getting beat up when he arrived. Let me think of the name...

    Something -church or -gate?

Lancaster Gate? It says online there's also a Hampstead Gate. I don't know that area of London very well apart from the fact that any coaches going to London Victoria from the north go near Hampstead

Tooting, Balham, these are your naughty manors, I can imagine you getting into some shit there.

They were both ok actually. I lived the Tooting Bec end which was better than the Broadway side at night. Balham is actually ok too, even at night. We tended to go out to the pubs in Balham at night, we never really had any trouble. Back then, we had quite a lot of the residents of Springfield Hospital being placed back in the community, which caused some murder and extreme crime in our area, but it never affected us. Mitcham was more dodgy at night and parts of Streatham, maybe parts of Morden. Colliers Wood up through Wimbledon were generally ok. Brixton was never a problem, Stockwell was dodgy though. Back then, East London, and South East London were bad, and parts of North London, up the Holloway Road

Londons always been a bit dodgy.  Depends where you spend your time, if you're in the central area you're safe enough.  The trick is to just be plain, blend in, don't look worth mugging.  I'm in London every week and have been for yonks, its my go to place, and I've not once been mugged or...anything but I'm just jacket and jeans and a pair of manky old Adidas.  If you go round dodgy manors then you are more likely to get done over but why would you want to go to some shithole council estate anyway?  Londons lovely, my favourite place in the world, when I'm away from it for too long I feel like I'm somehow not on planet earth anymore.  There's a lovely annonymous feeling to it.  With any busy metropolis you're gonna have those sorts of concerns, I'm sure there are unsafe aspects to your New Yorks and LA's and Romes, there certainly is to Paris when I went there earlier in the year...if you live your life afraid of bad people like that then you'll never have a laugh.  For the few people that get mugged there's also millions that go in and out of London every day and have an amazing time.

And as for terror attacks, really and truly speaking how often are they?  It'd've been scarier in the 70s when the IRA were running rampant, now they were organised and ruthless and knew what they were doing, these islamic ones are just isolated prannies they more often than not make a balls up of it.  Thick cunts and thank God they are.  What are the odds of being in the big city and happening upon a terror attack, its got to be in the millions, there's people living in war zones that act less afraid than the way some people talk around here.

The city always felt safe, to be fair. I worked near St Pauls Cathedral on Cheapside for a few years, never had any bother. I lived in Tooting, Balham, Stratford and Lambeth/Waterloo before moving out to Surrey. For most of the time it was great, apart from Stratford. I was only there six months, and got assaulted, and robbed, two separate occasions. Nothing really bad, but it was scary. When I worked at Wembley, a colleague got mugged outside the tube station, got knocked out. I also witnessed at least 4/5 other assaults and that not including pubs. I think compared to the rest of my life, it was definitely an experience. Even on my last trip to London, only went for three days, I saw one lad beat another one with a baseball bat, and that was up the West End. Don't get me wrong, I like London, but I would never move back, I'm too old for that now haha

    I think those are the two main things;

    - Pinkpop needs a last headliner, have apparently Justin T. already booked as 'Plan B' but are looking to book a 'classic guitar band' according to sources, who now also claim that it's not AC/DC.
    - Firenze Rocks apparently has GnR booked for 12/06, and can/will announce anytime now, but there's apparently some holdup, because ya'know, its GNR. (credits to the knowledgeable @Italian girl for this one)
    - Graspop (Belgium) is where they played 2006 & 2018, but they have all four headliners locked in (FNM, Aerosmith, Maiden and Judas Priest). Rock Werchter (also in Belgium) could be an option.
    - There is some talk about something 'happening', some festivals are relatively late in announcing their headliners, and sources indicate acts have been moved around between days and festivals, but nothing is certain yet regarding the 'big act' which some festivals are apparently trying to book (normally festival would have their headliners locked in for months already). The whole M.O. deffo sounds a lot like GNR :D #DisorganizedAsFuck

Keep in mind a lot of festivals already have their headliner slots filled (Rock am Ring, Novarock, Download UK, Hellfest, and there's no Download festival Madrid, Download festival France and Fortarock (NL) this year), so if its happening it might be a limited number of dates or something like 2018 where they did 19 dates which included 5 festivals. I think it's gonna be hard to find 5 festivals this time around, but they could obviously fill it up with some open-air / stadium / arena dates, although some regions didn't sell that well in 2018 as they did in 2017.

There's also other Lollapalooza events as well. Could be an option

Paradise City on an old UK show called Raw Power.

Raw Power was great. On a Friday night. Do you remember American Gladiators, Casey Casem with Americas top 10 and Married With Children on as well. Krusher used to hang out at a pub in Fulham, met him through a friend at work. I remember them interviewing Nirvana, they played Faith No More and Savatage alot, Jane's Addiction, Sepultura and that You can't bring me down song

I like this year's game. I've been playing PES again since 2015 and this is up there with the best.

I have been playing since the 90s haha, golden era was during the 00s. I liked fifa with the diagonal shots on the sega. I am match day on the spectrum, sensible soccer sourced.
