The "Up Close And Personal" leg was really a great show.
I'd like to see them do smaller venues for warmup legs in the future.

So Brodie, how do you feel now? You said Ron couldn't handle the solo, now there's a great quality recording out there proving otherwise... again.
Did you ever find that post of me "attacking" anyone?
And I never said he couldn't handle the solo.
So you're batting 0/2.
-
I'd post a few stems of his playing in his solo career but whatever, not gonna waste my time with someone that tries to hard to attack people yet fail to understand what a comped solo is.
Show me a single post of mine where I "attack people".

woooow you try so hard. please make an argument why Buckethead is better
No where did I say that "Buckethead was better" or any guitarist was better than any other guitarist.
Someone being the better guitarist is pretty subjective, anyway. It comes down to personal taste and things of that nature.
Although I've never heard Bumblefoot's style described as "clean" before. And that's also based off of the 3 CDs of his that I own.
They all sound pretty dirty, gritty, imprecise, and hard-rock to me. High bass, high gain, lots of distortion.
But the real issue is that you kids are so insecure with yourselves that you take offense at someone's opinion and get defensive when they coax you about being so touchy.
Then in further attempts to seek to validate yourselves, you magnify that defensiveness with insults, profanity, and general negativity.
That kind of attitude really pollutes what message boards are all about: civil debate, discussion, and discourse.
TL;DR: Grow up. Work on your shit attitude.

you're obviously not a guitar player or just a big BH fanboy
It's like arguing with somebody trying to explain why BH is a better guitar player then Slash
Wow. A false dilemma wrapped in an appeal to authority and an appeal to popularity. It's the holy trinity of logical fallacies.
Different takes pieced together. That is what I meant. Maybe not what originally what Buckethead intended.
Has nothing to do with how they're played or how well they're played.
If he's going to play a different solo fine. I don't care but the song needs to be restructured.
But what he's doing is playing Bucket's solo and playing it badly.
Also hilarious how all of you Bumblefoot fanboys are coming out of the woodwork yet no one said anything about me trashing DJ or Fortus?
Forgive me, Mein Fuher.
At least you got my name right.

Brodie, the solos were comped, deal with it.

Most people don't seem to realize that the guitar solos on Chinese Democracy were comped. That amazing outro to There Was a Time was probably comped. If Buckethead was still in the band he'd have to learn how to play it.
Most people realize you have no idea what you're talking about.
Uh, no, you are totally wrong. We're talking about one being clean, skilled player, so playing a solo note for note exactly the way it was meant to be played *IS IN FACT* an argument against Brodie's retarded statement.
I bet you are just a hit at parties.
I hope you do know that Ron playes 100 times cleaner then BH
You kids are just adorable!
Buckethead is more proficient at actually making his guitar sound good. However, Bumble's got him beat in the elephant noise category.
There is some hope this generation, yet!

Half-Full: They played "There Was A Time". Yay. That's very cool.
Half-Empty: Guitarists butchered it. Impossible to do well without Bucket and Robin.
Bucket never played it with them They never played it with Bucket.
Yeah and it sounded pretty shitty every other time they played it live, too.
Before you had Robin so it wasn't too bad but now both pieces are gone instead of one.
No one can ape Robin's style and no one can play as cleanly as Buckethead.
It's why DJ playing Better sounds like a dying seal.

I have a feeling Bumble can handle it just fine. My first concern, however, was how the lack of flow in DJ's playing would sound with Finck's solos. We'll see how it sounds in videos before I judge.
It's possible. They need to keep it in the setlist and work on it.
They fucked up the breakdown pretty badly too.

My friend emailed me something like "Axl breaking his hip is the biggest Guns N Roses news in awhile, isn't it?".
I laughed until I cried.

this free guy sounds like quite the rapscallion

Ahh leaks... this too is a grievous evil.
As a man comes so he departs and what does he gain - since he toils for the wind?

Seek the Ireland Download Fest boot and ye shall find.
-
It was funny back in 06 when Axl was barking at Merck for tickets to New York.
-
In my estimation, if "Chinese Democracy" didn't leak and was properly promoted and toured upon it would've gone down as a great record.
Say... if it were released in 2002.
*takes a drink*
Let's hope he doesn't fuck it up this time.
-
I don't know much about Piers but I saw him do an interview with Mickey Rourke that was really good.
I doubt that Axl would ever agree to it but I'd love to see a similar thing with him...
Also... Axl's look in 2006 was badass.

Call me when you have basic reading comprehension down.
kiss kiss

Buckethead wrote that song, so no that's Guns N' Roses in 2002, covered by a less talented band.

"How can we keep supporting this band?"
Through jaded cynicism, as always.
-
It's hard to hear when you use your vaginas to listen...
-
It's stupid but people always want to start shit...
Also I never understood wearing that bands' tshirt to their show.
-
I dunno but whatever it is, it's definitely not on my iPod.
-
Holy shit that was a show.
Rowdy little crowd there.
Sad I can't see more this leg.
Oh and Axl sounded grrrreeeat.
You tough guy kids and your complaining on the internet...
Who else here love what Guns have done this year?

I feel you man.
The 2002 band could have been something really special. :-\
