  1. Well, that show sufficiently rocked my facial region.

The new songs are so much fun to sing along to.

Getting to see Civil War and Estranged was absolute bliss. I floated away for awhile...

I nerded out a bit seeing Zakk with Axl. Hearing the Dexter intro before it started tickled my nerd bone too.

Love this band. So. Much. Fun.

Axl and the band were good spirits and I met a couple of cool people beforehand. GREAT crowd.

Running on like 3 hours of sleep. Don't care. Want more.

    See you in Cali.

  2. I'll post more later but "If The World" is like three 70s Blaxpoitation standbys layered on top of each other.

One of the layers is grinded out and Axl sings on top of it.

The intro to "Sorry" is also heavy influenced by that style in addition to the Floyd and tinge of Sabbath.

  3. Stephanie Seymour always and forever.

Not even a debate about it.

Also "Legend of the Red Panda" is hilarious. I spit out my water. :rofl-lol:

Maybe it'll come out after The Cherry Frozen Yogurt Incident.

  4. so contraband sold almost 2x as much as CD? :rofl-lol:

That average ass record or "Contraband" as you call it came out at the peak of 80s nostalgia during an era where record companies still had considerable control of the artist's material, prior to cable internet hitting the mainstream and thus prior to illegal downloading reaching critical mass - not to mention sites like YouTube and MySpace becoming widespread. This severely limits one's access to music and favors corporate interests forcing regular consumers to either buy material based on word-of-mouth or ignore it altogether, inflating numbers by today's standards. And when you consider that "Contraband" was widely talked about, promoted, and marketed - it sold poorly given it's advantageous context.

"Chinese Democracy", contrarily had virtually no marketing budget or promotion whatsoever, was leaked early multiple times, and still sold 4+ million in the digital era of rampant piracy and free listens. Very respectable.

Nice try at a cupcake you ignorant fuck weasel, now go sit at the kids table while the adults discuss big people problems.

  5. So pumped they're playing "Civil War" but Bumble hasn't quite got the tone down yet.

I know he'll keep improving though.

What solos does Richard do? I know he does the first November Rain and the first Rocket Queen.

He's been known to do Maddy before. Fluctuates however.

  6. Industrial GN'R is best GN'R.

Release all the CD songs. Keep all the best Robin Finck and Buckethead solos and riffs, and one brand new album with contributions by DJ and more by Bumblefoot.

It will never happen but I want them to release all of the CD material and "move on" with this current band.

But the rest of the CD material needs justice done to it... it's not like a group of so-so B-Sides or Nirvana box set or shit you just shove out there.

It deserves proper attention but so did CD so hey who knows.

  7. RE: "Tommy has been in longer than Slash"

And Brian Johnson has been in AC/DC more than Bon Scott... so what?

Time has nothing to do with it. Ridiculous.

Poor argument but I doubt any of you kids will listen to reason anyway.

  8. Imagine you were an architect, and you designed your own home for you and your family. You live in it for a few years, then divorce your wife - who continues to live in the marital home with her new husband. Many years later, you gain wide recognition for your design of the home and win an industry award.

Would you want some mutherfucker sharing the stage with you, just because he was screwing your ex-wife and lived in your old home?........

    I understand your point.

Really?? Why should Slash have to be the one to bend over or "humble out"??

I was talking in terms of a reunion, not the RIRHOF.

Axl's certainly not perfect but I think Slash has shown to be continuously dishonest.

Trust is the foundation to any relationship and well if you fuck with that then it all goes to hell.

Axl seems to hold on to more hurt than Slash does which is why Slash has to be the one to make things right.

I'm not on anyone's side, fyi, nor do I care if the two ever play together again. I just wish they'd be cool with each other. I don't like broken relationships. Bums me out.

(But I guess you can argue if they were cool together, then they'd play together...).

Why couldn't they just both understand what the accomplishment is for, show up and accept it?

Yeah I mentioned in another thread they both should just be professionals and accept the award then walk off. Don't have to make eye contact or talk... just accept the damn award and bounce...

You all know I'm a Replacements guy. ;)

    Good taste.

  9. No one in the new band should be inducted with "Guns N' Roses". Period.

I wouldn't mind seeing The Replacements inducted though...

Why not? They've toured the globe as Guns N Roses and worked extensively on Guns N Roses material...

I love the new band but fact is, the new band isn't what got them first ballot.

It was the old band and it was Appetite.

But if Slash was smart (ha) and really wanted to a reunion he'd say that he wouldn't accept the award unless everyone in New GN'R was inducted too.

If that ever is going to happen (not holding my breath) Slash needs to humble out to Axl in big ways I think.

  10. This is the best "new GnR" logo.

The old mixed with the new. Fits what the band does well.

    KzAMC.png

The new logo is complete dogshit. Looks generic. Doesn't set itself apart.

If you're going to reinvent your brand identity it should fit your company, i.e.: music, guns, and/or roses.

Not Uncle Axl's 100% whole wheat bread.

    Garbage.
