  1. Seeing how Axl wanted (at that time...) to create something new and give GnR a new sound, it's not surprising that he did not go after die-hard Guns fans or Slash clones

I'm pretty sure DJ is a pretty big fan

BBF seems liek the guy who must have been a good fan, but not a die-hard one

4tus and Stinson grew up as punk-rock fans, 4tus becam interested in hard-rock later in his life

No idea about pitman or Frank

    Dizzy, for sure

Anyway, it was a lose-lose situation for Axl. If he takes a Slash clone peopel would have shitted on him for that, so he took Buckethead and Finck, and people were shitting all over them becasue they were not Slash...

  2. If the rumor of Duff and Izzy has any truth to it, what are the odds that they nudge Axl and say "seriously, we're one person away from making it the rock event of the decade, just fucking call him."

    LOL

    no chance

Duff even opened for NuGnR. That says a lot about his mindset on a reunion. Seeing how Axl conducts himself nowadays, I doubt Izzy would like to deal with that.

If the 3 of them play together, I really can see some odds of Duff and Izzy saying that. And then, in Residency vol.3, we will have Axl, Izzy, Duff and Steve Adler.

I don't know if it has been posted before, if yes, mods please delete

What can audiences expect to see during this residency?

Obviously we’re going to play the classics, and we’re going to do some Chinese Democracy stuff. I think we have a few more little surprises up our sleeves as well.

Is there any new Guns N’ Roses material in the works?

There’s a sh*tload of it. It’s there. It’s just a matter of—once it gets to a certain point, I’m not sure who’s going to make that decision, but there are songs that are done or close to being done that just need to be selected and grouped together and released. That’s where things are at with that.

What do you like to do when you’re in Vegas?

I definitely have my golf clubs with me, so I’ll be doing some of that. I like to get out to the Pinball Hall of Fame; that’s really cool. If my buddies in the Sin City Sinners are playing somewhere, I’ll probably go sit in with them.

What does Axl Rose do during all of his long breaks while other band members take solo spotlights?

I know when I’m doing my thing, he’s telling jokes in my in-ear monitors, trying to get me to crack a smile or break my concentration. It’s kind of a standoff, kind of a game. … I don’t have my eye on him. I don’t really know what he’s doing. But he is telling some killer jokes.

  4. Then go ahead and watch a Slash show and call it GnR, watch an Adler's apettite show and call it GnR, watch a Duff show and call it GnR. Why not even a Velvet Revolver show?

I can't believe how hard it is for some people just to enjoy what they have.

And if it happens that you're not enjoying it, just stop watching (and I'm not even commenting the fact that "watching" means for most of people here commenting snipets of songs recorded on cellphones and commenting set-lists consistencies)

I loved the old band, and I loved the 2001 band as well. They don't exist anymore and I still think both have wasted loads of opportunities to release great music. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it or give me any physical pain, nor will that said pain's gonna get relieved by spreading my butt-hurt feeling on a message board to be honest.

    LOL

Hey Laparka, keep on supporting Axl's shit. He's doing really well.

I'm not supporting anything beyond reasonable. If they come to my place, I'll go see them and enjoy the show.

If they release an album, I'll buy it.

That does not mean that I'm not frustrated by the lack of new music or the fact that this band has done almost nothing since the break up of the original band.

  5. I didn't know a band name was an honorary degree,

It's definitely not a piece of paper either.

  6. I've always been a strong supporter of the vision I thought Axl had of what Guns should be in the 2000's and 2010's

    But :

    - Letting Bucket go

    - letting Fink go

    - letting BBF go

All that because the management does not push Axl to actually release music...

    Man that's driving me crazy...

I hope that if he leaves, it's for the better for him career-wise
