  1. Coma, Catcher, TWAT, SCOM, November Rain and Locomotive have some of the best outros of all time. Locomotive takes the ribbon for me though, such ephemeral caramel after one hell of a ride thru a lucid but convoluted dude's stream of consciousness pouring punctuated by an outstanding musical backdrop. Very cathartic.

Il love Double Talkin' Jive Outro too

  2. Damn...

As much as I loved the original band and albums, I'd never want a reunion for many reasons :

1- they don't get along and never will. What's the point in watching 2 guys doing as if they were friends to knowing that they try to stab each other behind the stage? That would ruin everything for me.

2- apart from 3/4 songs, I really don't like Slash's material. I like the 1st snakepit, 1 or 2 songs from his solo album, and that's it. I don't think he would bring anything I really like to the table.

3- Izzy would not do it, so it's pointless. Izzy has always been my favorite songwriter.

Sometimes I just hope they retire, so that the secret vault can be opened and they release every songs they did for the ChiDem sessions; That way, everything is over and Axl can chill in his pool and do a few guest apparitions on Baz or Izzy records.

  3. I'm absolutely not in favour of a reunion, because I would hate seeing Axl retiring wihtout hearing what's in the ChiDem era vault (if one day it is released...)

I have a shitload respect for the classic line-up, but that line-up is dead. let's accept that.

I always loved Izzy and Duff, Slash has always been my least favourite member of GnR (that I discovered in 93), but I respect his solo work (a lot less his singers choice, Eric Dover was my favourite to be honest) and think he can still write 2 or 3 great songs on each albums.

But seeing Duff with the band was awesome (I love Tommy, but Duff is really something else). Seeing Izzy with the band was beyond great too.

Hearing Axl thanking all line-ups was maybe a step forward to a truce between all members; I think that the only thing we'll get from Axl to Slash would be cold indifference at best. Which would be an improvement.

  4. As much as I love and respect Alice Cooper, I think he's wrong on this one.

It's clear that a reunion will never happen.

The hatred from Axl is not even concentrated on Slash, I'm sure he still hates Sorum's guts just as much and that he clearly ignores Adler's existence.

I can't see Axl accepting to swallow his feelings and sitting on his principles he had for 20 years just for a pile of cash.

To be honest, I don't even see Slash accepting to do it for the cash. Plus, the role of the "good guy who got fired from the bad villain in the best rock n' roll band ever" is perfect for him to earn enough money until his grand-grand-children die.

call his hatred irrational, at least he stands by his words and principles on that specific subject; He does not like Slash anymore based on experiences they (and only they) shared, therefore he will never work on something with him again.

Plus, that a reunion will never work.

If they release an album and it sucks, people will say it was a bad idea.

If they release an album and it works, people will say that because of Axl we lost 20 years af great GnR records.

If they tour but do not release an album, people will say that they should and that reunited for nothing...

  5. DJ's guitar is clearly not tuned correctly.

Not saying that to defend him because I also have enough of his manoeurism, but it's clearly not his fault.

Give him an ultimatum or get rid of him.

Overall it was not as bad as people say it was. It was an OK performance from 2012-2014 Axl standards.

I think he should loose weight and get his throat treated. He sounds like he has mucus in his throath and sinuses, that sort of gives an helium/mickey voice.

It's not like it would require some supra-difficult efforts to be only 50% better.

  6. I don't post a lot, because usually hatred towards a member is so strong that, whatever you say, you get flamed by the majority for not agreeing with the masses. but here... on this subject...

As far as Asha is concerned, I guess he's just not good enough for GnR... He seems to be a real fan of the band and happy to be in the band, but that's not sufficient.

He also seems to be hammered most of the time and therefore butchering his soli and intro's. I mean, wasn't it the problem with Slash? I can't stand musicians showing up drunk or high on stage. This is unprofessional and a real lack of respect for the fans.

Finck was THE man for the job. the perfect complement for Axl. On stage and songwriting-wise. I really hope Ashba gets kicked out and Finck comes back...

    BBF!

  7. Jarmo:

What gives you the impression GN'R doesn't respect their fans?

    What planet is Jarmo on?

Jarmo is a total ass clown. He could be the biggest fake on planet Dingdong.

Jarmo must be really high not to realize that GnR does everything to loose fans.

I'm not pointing any finger on either, Axl, Fernando, Beta, old Guns, new Guns...

To keep up with your fans, all you gotta do is release new music, show them you are a band that has an actuality, and put out decent quality shows.

Last years have not been quite like that at all.

Axl's camp knows damn well how hungry for new music rabid GnR fans are, the fact that they refuse to release anything (even a single fucking new song on a soundtrack or a damn video game) is a proof that the don't really care about alienating their hardcore fanbase.

I'm really worried that they did not feel all the love from us after CD's release, maybe if they had cared much about us, they would have realized that we were ready to give the whole idea of CDI 2008/ CDII 2010 / CDIII 1012 a chance...

That makes me really sad most of the time that I may die without hearing all the hidden songs GnR had kept secret for no reason. They are just fuckin' rock n' roll songs, not nuclear secret codes or what.

    Yes it was.

Lots of nods to GnR in both K-DST and Radio X.

    GTA 5

Maybe they did not get 100% of the playlist... I don't know...

We'll see. No GnR but Axl as the DJ would satisfy me 100%
