  1. because they don't want "better", they get something from experiencing a Gn'R show/multiple Gn'R shows, even if there's not much difference between the setlists, probably cause it's their favorite band so if you really like to hear Axl and Slash live for example, you can't get that anywhere else and for some that is incentive enough to attend multiple shows.
  2. oh ok. Sorry for downplaying Izzy's badassery. It was not my intention as I feel that his badassery cannot be questioned.
  3. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here. That Izzy is a good songwriter or what exactly?
  4. Slash wanted a real frontman that could actually sing. As soon as Izzy got word that Scott was involved, he pretty much bailed. wasn't talking about what Izzy later used for his solo work, how is that relevant anyway? my point was that they didn't really need Izzy to gain success with Contraband as VR as only one of Izzy's ideas was used.
  5. VR used 1 variation of a riff Izzy wrote, using it for Do It For The Kids. He left cause he didn't want a problematic singer like Scott Weiland was. maybe something will happen in the future. It's still possible cause Gn'R still exists.
  6. I highly doubt that Axl was shocked at the non reaction to Absurd and HS. I think that just because no other material has been released since HS, it means that it is probable that Axl realized the CD era material is better without Slash and Duff. He had enough time to think about it before these 2 old tunes got released.
  7. it would certainly seem that way, that for Axl the main priority is making money by frequently touring. Slash, Duff and the other members of the band are just doing what they're supposed to do imo: they've agreed to certain conditions when they rejoined/joined Gn'R which I'm guessing also came with the condition of not being able to tell Axl to release more Guns material. Slash's top priority is touring anyway and him, Duff, and the rest of the lineup can release music on their own when they want to and are not busy with Gn'R. having said that, I speculate that Axl will probably get around to it at some point when it comes to releasing at least some of the Gn'R material he has kept to himself until now, and Gn'R is not a band that shares a lot of info, so even if they are in the process of working on something or have a real and concrete intention to release more Gn'R tunes, we might not know about it.
  8. yes, I think Duff has a need to release music and also to release music that maybe won't fit the Gn'R sound or that he's more interested in releasing it solo or not be confined by the Gn'R style of music or Axl's approval of when to release it/in what form, etc.
  9. after repeated listens I like Pass You By even more. Love the vibe.
  10. not necessarily imo. "Great material" is subjective, but Axl sat on songs like There Was A Time for years, just as an example.
  11. nice one. I can picture Axl singing this with Duff. Think I'll come back to this tune as well.
  12. I'm less picky I think: I just want more Gn'R tunes released with Axl vocals, but yeah, ideally, I would have liked the rest of CD ll untouched and that would have been great on its own, and best case scenario another album with Slash and Duff on there. hopefully we'll get more music from Axl. Even 1 more tune is better than what we have now. (like I've previously said a few times already)
  13. all I'm saying, to clarify, is that I think there is still a chance that Axl will release more Chinese era material, maybe even a full album's worth of it eventually. clues are that Gn'R is still active, we know that there is a version of CD ll which is complete, Axl did release Absurd and HS not too long ago, and he also didn't come out and say that he intends to never release music ever again. I don't think it's a marketing ploy to not say anything and my guess is that Axl doesn't want the Gn'R catalog's last release to be HS. technically, there's still time to do even more than that, but my realistic hope is at least to hear the rest of CD ll someday. I'm not sure about anything when it comes to Gn'R so not sure that they won't release anything ever again either. Axl is still too unpredictable to actually know that.
  14. I think that the 2019 Locker leaks with vocals and the 2 released old Chinese tunes kinda made it like an unofficial EP (Hard Skool, Absurd, Atlas, State Of Grace, Eye On You, Perhaps) so those 6 tunes, the 2 box sets and the live shows kinda keep shit interesting for me personally other than just this being one of my hobbies and the fun online community aspect of talking about nerdy shit in here that no one irl really wants to talk about in depth cause it's boring to them. then, there is the chance of Axl deciding to release maybe a few more tunes and my belief that even a full album is still a real possibility eventually. I'm also still curious about how the Gn'R saga will come to an end and how @Sweersa will react to it.
  15. I don't think that's the reason either, I think it's just a good example and proof that there are obsessive people that can easily get sucked into a loop of sorts and the reason for being in that state is a mix of habit, feeding the ego, and coping with some outcome that they feel negatively about) a Gn'R fan forum has the right conditions for these types imo, especially a thread like this.
  16. I think that the Pele case is a good example of how a person can repeat a single opinion and still get something from it. Extreme case, but even so.
  17. like Axl said, they don't really hang out much if at all outside Gn'R and he gave The Stones as an example of another band that are more business oriented. That doesn't mean there's no love between Axl, Slash, and Duff, of course, and I think as you grow older you value your personal time/family time more. Happens with a lot of bands.
  18. I don't see it. It's not like I expect Axl to become prolific all of a sudden.
  19. cool list. Even more hyped for GOTG 3 now. I liked Moon Knight as well. I thought Falcon and the Winter Soldier was mostly lame. Didn't watch She-Hulk. Black Widow was pretty bad, but I liked Florence Puge in it. Wakanda Forever didn't translate well at all to the big screen with that man with the tiny wings on its feet and the main character (the real Black Panther sister or whatever) is just not charismatic enough to sell it as a main character imo. in every attempt to watch the Eternals I fell asleep during the movie.
  20. Spiderman was enjoyable but not great imho. Ant Man 3 wasn't so bad, but was kinda shallow. Thor was a complete dud. Honestly, I thought Shang-Chi was boring as shit. Multiverse Of Madness was ok, I think my favorite Marvel made thing was Loki recently, Wanda Vision was pretty cool. Excited about GOTG3. Ms. Marvel was kinda boring as well imo and I quite liked Hawkeye.
  21. probably, and as silly as that might sound to some, I think it's a weird coping mechanism for dealing with the fact that Gn'R didn't give some fans what they thought they could have easily gotten or deserved so they shift their bitterness on themselves as well (the fans) so it's the same old shit, especially when Gn'R is inactive.
