A theater near me just announced they're showing it next week.
-
Rock Or Bust started off at Coachella 2015 and ends tonight
Sad knowing this is Cliff's last show with them and probably Chris Slade's as well, but you never know if AC/DC will do a festival show somewhere in the world in the next couple of years where GNR and Axl/DC headline both nights. A tour would be a lot to ask for.
-
Did they do Problem Child on this tour?
Hopefully this won't be the last AC/DC show... but they're going out on a high note if it is.

I think if the Anthology was released today it would probably be twice as long. It has becoming increasingly obvious that fans will lap up the absolute sweepings of the studio floor from these certified 'classic acts' - attribute it to middle class spending power, nerdom and/or a dearth of new artists (whichever you desire)?
The Directors Cut bootleg is 10 DVDs, it has a lot more interviews, but I never bothered downloading it and just saw clips from it on You Tube. It's possible they'll throw some of it on the Blu Ray as bonuses.

This tour was more about the return of Slash. It's good to see Axl mended fences with Steven and made some money out of it.
They snubbed him with this tour, but if they have a big money private gig or another residency, he'd be more likely to take part in it.

The time to release the Let it Be film was surely when they released Let it Be Naked in 2003!
There is not much left unless Macca decides to release that Carnival of Light song in some manner.
A few weeks before the "1s on Blu Ray" was announced, someone in the know told me Anthology and Let It Be on Blu Ray were going to be released. Ron Howard's movie changed things and started pushing to release Hollywood Bowl.
Paul's recent Rolling Stone interview made it seem like he's open to sessions being released, plus the guy running Apple used to run Sony Legacy who did the Dylan Bootleg Series. There's always going to be people who want to hear the songs being worked on and all the alternate versions, Anthology tried to put as much as possible out there, but taking months of sessions and squeezing it onto one disc doesn't represent how much work goes into making an album. If a song wasn't working out, would just switch to working on something else and maybe go back to it later.
I'm sure the same thing's been discussed regarding an AFD box set, put the bonus stuff out as a companion disc, a 6 disc sessions box set, or a 20 disc box set with a hefty price tag.
If Sgt Pepper comes out as a box set and have the sessions on there, they're probably going to have Carnival of Light on it. The whole thing of Olivia "abiding by George's wishes" is the only reason it wouldn't be on there but her son's become more involved in band decisions.

Everyone should go see Springsteen once in their lives. I've known people who hated him being dragged kicking and screaming to a show and came away appreciating him more.
-
Let It Be was remastered a while back and ready to go, I just think it keeps getting put on the back burner because that's a tough one to put out unless there's fanfare and hype involved.
There had been a demand for Hollywood Bowl on CD for years, then Ron Howard coming in with this movie opened the door to the Bowl re-release.
With the 50th of Sgt Pepper coming, they should put the sessions out as a box set, I'm sure Cheap Trick is going to do another Sgt Pepper show at the Hollywood Bowl next year, and it's possible McCartney and Starr will be showing up for it. It would be all too easy to get special guests.
-
If he isn't going to tour, he should do a one night only concert in LA and do a paid audio stream.

I doubt it but it doesn't hurt to ask the people who were there at the sessions, including Del James and Amy Bailey.Robert John might have taken some video if he was photographing the sessions but it probably would have been on his book promo/documentary.
I think with all the setbacks around UYI and trying to get the album finished, it would have been a distraction, plus there was worry about stuff getting into bootlegger's hands so bringing outside video equipment would have made them a little uptight.
-
You could also include some of the Spaghetti Incident songs that were recorded during the UYI sessions.
It would have been a double album (they were still putting vinyl out but it wasn't a priority to make 20 minutes a side anymore) because they would have filled up a 78 minute CD, but Coma, Locomotive, Civil War, Estranged would have taken up half the album, or would have resorted to editing 2 minutes out and have the single mix of November Rain on the album, and probably would have put out the full version as a 12" mix and cassingle (remember those?). They were still selling a lot of singles and we probably would have the other UYI songs turned into b-sides or put on EPs. Either way, they would have found a way to release the songs.

Steppenwolf, Mountain and Grand Funk Railroad were big back in the late 60s-early 70s but over time kind of just had the one or two radio hits on classic rock.

I wonder who his replacement list was.

MUSICIAN (1992) : When we go see Guns N' Roses now we're seeing three original members and three hired sidemen. You're one man away from a Steely Dan situation.
AXL: Slash and I are avid Steely Dan fans.

Riki Rachtman (who ran the Cathouse with Taime) and Slash reconnected after 20 years because Riki was bitching on Twitter about having a snake problem, he wasn't sure if it was poisonous - so who better than Slash to know, right? I guess Slash was checking Twitter at the right time - he walked Riki through how to handle it.

Kiss did the reunion for a little over four years with the original guys.
Not quite a quick cash grab and run.Doc should also get some credit for the GNR reunion. Snake Sabo (from Skid Row and still friendly with Sebastian) was also Duff's tour manager and worked under McGhee. It wasn't a coincidence that Axl and Duff wound up staying in the same hotel when they reconnected.

If the libraries have the box sets for Born To Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town and The River, they also include the concert DVDs. I'd also check out Nebraska, Devils and Dust, Greetings from Asbury Park, Wild, Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, & Tunnel of Love.

Which periscope link is working? -
It'll become a settlement because Chris can never legally talk about a lot of things that went on in the band if that happens. If Chris wins, it doesn't mean Axl has to pay out all the money. He (his lawyer) can drag it for years if he wants.

The Notorious PI single T Man

I blame Ellen

He would have had Axl write with Desmond Child to guarantee that 'radio hit'.

Lol I'm sure that would work
It would cost you a dollar, put Fermanager's name on it to Axl's address with a short letter thanking him and anything else you want to say.
Cover the postage and return address. If you don't hear back, so be it, but if you hear back, you'll be happy you did it.

You probably could send a copy of that photo to get signed when the tour winds down, and throw in a CD booklet of AFD & ChiDem and your phone number, email, next of kin, etc.

Dexter
in SEEN THAT MOVIE TOO
Posted
Supposedly one of the writers wanted Dexter to wake up on death row with all the people he killed in the viewing gallery. It was left open enough to do a story years from now when Harrison is older, but it's up to Jeff Lindsay & Michael on what kind of screenplay would hook them into doing it. There's no doubt there will be reunion events in coming years and people are always going to ask Hall about Dexter.
