She's the one hyping she shot her calendar in Axl's home. Not sure who or what the connection is.

They had a good run in America in the 70s and 80s to make up for lost time, I know his "Americana" book gets into the Arista years up to getting shot in New Orleans. Dave also had a book out years ago and of course "X-Ray". Hinman's book is more about the geek stuff - recording sessions, tour dates, etc.

I've been listening to their back catalog lately, forgot how great One From The Road is as a live album. I think this was one of the first concerts for home video.

I'd want to know what shows were filmed in full for the UYI documentary first, but if they had made a concert film, the audience would have remembered the band being lit up by the film crew.
They probably could do a new mix with Paris and Tokyo because you also have those video cameras recording the show from different angles, so they could take the master tapes and do a different edited version and take any of the titles/graphics used for the live broadcasts. It could be mixed to film, but based on what was said about Pink Floyd Pulse on DVD, it was a huge task to transfer it.

Basically, axl wants to do it so it might come out. If it will be released, its probably going to take years cause that's what his process, insecurities, flaws, call it what you want dictates.
In the china exchange interview he joked about how small the body of work for guns is. I think he'll try to finish a guns album with slash and duff and if he thinks its great, he will attempt to release it. Many things can go wrong but even if it all goes well i think the wait is still going to be long.
We don't know if Slash and Duff got a hold of rough mixes to work on, plus what they are brinigng in. I think they'll "road test" a few new songs, and maybe one or two make it onto a TV show or movie. I guess no one's asked him since "Body of Lies" and just want SCOM and WTTJ.

The Stones just announced their first album in 11 years, today. Pretty infrequently, sadly
True but they also put an albums' worth of newly recorded songs out on the hits and reissues in that time.

Wonder if this is on the new album.

Something to do with Sanctuary folding and Merck bringing Morrissey and Axl to Irving Azoff, it probably factored into delaying ChiDem. Merck was posting on the Morrissey forums in 06-08, I don't know if he posted on GNR forums at the time. I think Axl dealing with a revolving door of the music industry played into the delays, but at least he still had a relationship with Universal, Morrissey wound up severing ties with labels for 5 years.

Bruce Springsteen talking about different eras of popular music and the influence each generation of musicians had on him as a writer and composer
I watched the keynote online and when he quoted the Animals song, I knew Eric was in Austin recording and had corresponded with his wife Maryanne on his FB & Twitter. I guess someone checks Bruce's Twitter account because they wrote her back as the keynote was still going on and later that night, his happened.

You would have needed to gauge the fathoms of teenage female urine flooding-out their respective concert halls to discover that.

I think Brian's going to form an all star band that he'll occasionally do shows with (he does have a lot of rock legend friends who are also into racing), but could there be room in AC/DC for two frontmen?

I don't know if Axl took it seriously in the beginning, not until AC/DC got back to him and agreed to get in the rehearsal room to see what happens. He probably saw the tour dates and figured it was workable because of the days off in between and it wasn't a big tour. To step into the shoes of two great singers is a really tall order.

They could have done what other bands do and kept her behind the curtain, make people think Dizzy's playing all that stuff.

It's possible over the past 9 months they took ChiDem II and VRIII unfinished songs and finished them in their home studios, in hotel rooms, booked studio time, but soundchecks would have hinted at new songs.
-
To me the stadium tour was just making sure they had as many people as possible see them in case things did fall apart, but now they're booking shows into 2017 so they want to keep doing this.
-
Danzig's scaled back on performing a while ago so not wanting to do a tour isn't a surprise.
Last ever show? Maybe, hard to say right after it happened. I am surprised they didn't book a tour around Halloween.
If they put a DVD out of the concert, then this probably will be it, but there's no denying money's a motivator to do more shows, but The Misfits were known for not being a band that did a lot of touring back in the day.

New York's also a possibility, no announcements on anyone playing MSG or Barclays yet, even though Vegas is closer to home for most of the band.
-
Even if you played ChiDem on a high end stereo system, are those dynamics all there?
-
I think Cliff would unretire if Axl/DC went to Cuba, Izzy and Adler probably would play there because it's about the event and not percentages.

As long as you have a good set of speakers to listen to the CD (or a lossless copy). I saw them for sale at fye over the summer - with the Best Buy sticker STILL on it, which means Axl would never see a penny of sales. I don't know if any more of the alternate covers surfaced.
I'm sure the people who had cases of ChiDem for pennies made a profit over the summer.
I think you have a lot of fans who avoided the nuGuns era, now that they're hearing Slash and Duff do the songs on change, giving it a second chance.
