Axl's voice is done. It's on the way out. He can't get through a tour without this happening nowadays. He needs to immediately do baritone in every show and overcome this arbitrary fear that everyone wants to hear the mickey. The fact that this has happened twice in nearly a year is a bad sign for the longevity of GNR and his voice.

Or you’re being dramatic and Axl  or someone else in the band is sick and they have to take some dates off.

  2. I like Kat’s photography. I’m not sure why a black and white photo equates to “uninspired.” A good photo is a good photo whether you color correct in post or choose to make it black and white. Kat’s had some great shots of Axl and GNR through the years. People here are hating or questioning her abilities due to how she may have gotten her start to her photography career (friend to the band?).

But GNR has long kept it friends and fam, right? Is the new photographer not part of the Lebeis family?

Made a crazy last minute decision to drive to Chicago with only enough time to make it to wrigley on a day with 0 traffic. After spending most of the time on the highway above 90-100mph, driving 3+ hours, and being full of piss to my eyeballs…….we made it 20 minutes before GNR started!

Fantastic show. Band was top notch compared to when I last seen them in 2021 at summerfest in Milwaukee. The band seemed to be in great spirits despite the heat. Plenty of jokes from Axl as well.

Sadly, fresh out of event t’s and lithos. If anyone has any they’d part with that aren’t eBay prices-let me know!!! I ain’t rich. Had to settle for the bootleg t’s for now!

Glad we made the trip. Heard a number of songs I have never seen live. No disappointments, would do it all over, even the $100 parking!

Glad you made it! I got there as doors opened and I didn’t see any event tees at the merch booth closest to the pit! How TF did they sell out so quickly? Almost no one was at the park at the time. Unless they simply kept more in the concourses or sold a lot outside at Gallagher Way. I didn’t end up with a shirt or litho. Considering getting a shirt from the tour truck, but I don’t love the prints on them compared to the actual concert shirts.

Stands don't look empty from the angle of this live stream:

I guess the field is supposed to be empty? If so, is that a common setting for this type of venue in the US? I surely know I wouldn't like to watch a show like that - especially from the stands with such a big empty space between my spot and the stage, but also in general.

This is why I don’t like baseball park concerts. Yes, it’s common to rope off the infield diamond. And some of the spots behind the home plate where the sound booth would interfere with sight lines to the stage.

The place definitely wasn’t sold out, and I can guarantee some were no-shows due to the heat. Definitely the majority of people waited till GNR hit the stage to file their way in.

If I were to guess, I’d say it was 80 to 85 percent capacity. And honestly, the high prices is likely what kept people from buying. They came way down week of show. But a casual fan isn’t gonna wanna spend $200 on nose bleeds.

Can anyone who will be here early grab me a litho and event shirt in size medium? I won’t get there till 7! On the road now. Shoot me a message I’ll have cash and can give you my phone. Thank you!

Someone said the lithos being sold outside at Gallagher Way are already sold out. Wild.

Chris, any chance you can tell me what time show starts? I’m in Wisconsin didn’t buy tix yet but considering…would be a 3 hour drive I’m off work at 5. If concert starts at 7:30 I may be able to make it.

Honestly I’m not sure. It was just me guessing if doors are 5:30 and Pretenders 6, GNR around 7 or 730.

Other shows they dropped the pits to $150 the day of the show, looks like they are not doing it for Wrigley, maybe it is a ticketmaster thing as Wrigley is not sold on ticketmaster

Ticketmaster is the affiliate despite it being a Wrigley Field show. They did drop floor seats from $300+ to whatever it is now, in the hundred+ range . Maybe there aren’t that many pit left.

What I want to say is that nowadays they probably are not doing this anymore just by how they are doing things right now, about your show It's totally incredible that they just play all of this, If only I was there I would have enjoyed It a lot, I think there are not a lot of shows with these amount of ''rare'' songs so you were very fortunate to be there😁

I’m bummed they seem to have dropped “Pretty Tied Up” as a staple. There have been some shows this recent Euro leg where there are six to eight songs in the set I’ve never heard live. Tonight I’m hoping for “Catcher,” “Bad Obsession,” “PTU,” “Reckless,” “Hard Skool,” and “Perhaps” among others.

I am just being sincere, normally in Europe things tend to be more shaken than in the NA Tour where they normally play smaller sets and there is no rotation at all. I can 99% assure you that in this NA leg we will not find 2 of these songs at the same show: Twat, Locomotive, Prostitute, Madagascar, My Michelle, Catcher, Sorry... And I am saying this because they normally have less time to perform and they do an standard setlist with only 1 addition at the most, even more there are times where they have to cut Patience which is considered a hit.

On the other side, Europe never gets any new song at first while NA has had It lots of times, I am talking since 2021.

I’m not trying to be argumentative in the least. But from your list, I saw them play “There was a Time,” “Madagascar,” “My Michelle” and “Sorry” all at the same show in Chicago, 2017. One of my favorite GNR gigs I ever attended.

I don't want to be pessimist or the NA Fans but I think the shaken setlists died in Europe, I think there are more strict curfews on USA than in Europe and that means they have less time normally.

I think the probability of getting Twat, Locomotive this kind of things is so low at this point

This just isn’t true. If they go on at 7:30 tonight, that’s three and a half hours till hard stop. I saw them play nearly three hours at the United Center in 2017. If they cut bangers like “Locomotive,” it’s definitely not due to curfew.
