I mean realistically we will probably never know for sure either way, but one of the small things that kind of leads me to think it might not just be vocals created for the remix are the voices in the background.
The spoken word parts of 'blood in the water' sound like Brain or at least somebody else that's not Axl & if the vocals for the song were done just for the remix then why not have Axl do those parts as well. Where as if Brain just sampled a line from another song, or even an unused acapella idea or something then it seems a bit more logical he would have to fill it out himself with those backing vocals (if you can really call them that). TBF the best person to ask him would be @Gambit83 if he ever has him on his show again. I hope he does because I'd like to know for sure either way
Yeah definitely would be worth asking him. Speculating is fun for a while but after a decade it’s become redundant. I like to just think it’s something like Nothin’ or Eye On You that was less “finished” and Brain thought was cool.

Well i guess it narrows it down slightly in the sense that we know the BITW vocals don't come from either of those two songs and we didn't know that before. At least i think that's what he was getting at. Only @Its Tino knows what he meant.
Vocals could be from another song or specifically for that remix I guess but if they were just for the remix then why only one line? who knows for sure
I could see it being specific for that remix. Especially since we know he recorded vocals for This I Love version 2. But it certainly could be something older. But with what we’ve seen from the locker leaks there’s a pretty good chance it’s not a sample from a full song. So I don’t think there’s any narrowing it down. I think Blood in the Water is just what it is. Those vocals only. Probably had no instrumental and Prostitute fit it.

Unbelievable.... Still nothing. On the other hand... With all the delays in the past, did we really think that they would deliver on time, this time?! 😂🙆♂️
The days not over until it’s over thought. But I do believe GNR operates on a 24 months a year schedule. So we could still be 23 months away 🤷♂️
Who knows

If this song came out on a new 12 track album - not as a single. we'd be like wow it's so experimental, cool ideas and a really interesting thing to put on an album. The fact is, it's come out 15 years after the least album, the 4th single in 3 years randomly dropped without explanation or reason. Of course the majority on social media won't like this. It's nowhere near a single or palatable mainstream release. it's a song dying a death because of how GnR have released it.
Hardschool
State of Grace
Atlas Shrugged
Absurd
Perhaps
Going Down
The SeekerORWitchita Lineman
The General
Monsters
Going Down
Quick Song
Nothing
Seven
If we had that in 2010 or 2015 we'd all be delighted. people wouod like 2-3 songs different songs each, creating debate, there'd be 2 singles maybe and there'd be different styles for all tastes. Instead we get them dropped one at a time destroying their impact and how we enjoy them. Fuck GnR Fuck Axl. Release the above album now. Just drop it and then move on.
Well, the biggest issue is the mixing and vocal effects. Every song released from the Chinese Democracy sessions since the reunion has added vocal effects from their original. We never heard The General originally. A 2010 album probably didn’t have the vocal effects they do now. It’s just a crap situation.

The lyric I believe is "in your big attraction"
I believe it’s “Dynamic duo seen/in your daylight crashing”

So what exactly is out there?

Is there any way to hear the 10sec clip?

To me with headphones it sounds clear as day as "forget" in the live version, because it ends with a T. Also as @Axl_morris pointed out in the other thread, are you really gonna forgive a child molester? Forgive doesn't make sense, it is pretty much the most despicable thing you can do on this planet
To be fair, in my own family there was molestation happening. From my grandfather to his kids. Eventually they made the choice to forgive. But they never forget/forgot.

Yeah that has to be fake. Cause pretty sure most those demos couldn’t have Richard on them. Robin is without a doubt on 3 Dollar Pyramid and stuff. Then with The General and Monsters. I’d love to be wrong. But both of those are not old demos and at best are unmastered/unmixed songs

Can we all agree it's Forget and not Forgive?
Don't think he's going to forgive a child abuser, right?
I agree it has to be forget. Ignore previous thing before haha

So I guess this settles the debate over whether The General/Monsters is one song or two huh?

My take on The General and the usage of distortion is to create that buried down sound. Like you’re screaming for help and no one can hear

At the start of the bridge in The General is it just me or does it sound like the “cricket” effect from the intro of Mustache is there?
-
The key is the songs need to be overlapped on top of eachother for full effect

Are the mixed and mastered versions different than the other 2 links?

The General has the tour intro piece.
I mean vocally and musically since they both share the intro piece
Its awesome how well The General, Monsters and State of Grace would fit together
-
So it seems the 2010 After Party clip is actually Monsters and not The General. And The General is actually entirely new

Definitely looking forward to hearing these some how other than SoundCloud

The answer to it all is plain and simple.
Someday, maybe.

Coukd any delays be down to vinyl production issues or hold-ups? I'm sure we've seen it before with other releases, not thinking GN'R.
Who was it who bought their own oressing plant to negate those issues? Was it Metallica?
There has been a lot of delays with vinyl. Like a preorder for Twin Temple. Then when Adele was having albums pressed for her last release it caused production delays for other bands

Yeah I don’t believe there’s too many more songs. I’m in the camp where I think there is some but very few. I’d say maybe 5 more songs that have lyrics. Not counting Atlas and State of Grace. Either time will tell or time will make it so we all forget the questions that lack answer. In the end all the ones who care will be gone and the only ones left will be future kids listening to Appetite or Greatest Hits sadly
