  1. This interview is from 2010. He claims he played all the UYI songs on a demo tape (the truth is: what dalsh237 posted) He is talking shit about Matt in here, lol (just to hug him 2 years later at the RNRHOF, lulz)

Was Rocket Queen a song you had earlier worked up with Slash in Road Crew? No, we didn't do the Road Crew stuff really until the Use Your Illusion stuff. And that's one thing that really hurt me. It was very, very destructive when they kicked me out of the band but then they recorded all those songs. See, I did all the songs for Use Your Illusion; I recorded them on a demo tape in a recording studio with the band.

"There's a lot of tears involved. But it was day after day of believing and never doubting myself and working out my problems."

You recorded Back Off Bitch, You Could Be Mine, Don't Cry and some other stuff? I loved Back Off Bitch, I loved that song. I'm so pissed when I heard it. Oh, my god. That and Don't Cry. I came up with the most simple, most beautiful drums. That was what was devastating: those were my songs. Goddamit. And it still bothers me. I think I need to go to a meeting [laughs.] I have to go to a meeting now. After talking to you, I'm gonna have to go to a goddamn AA meeting. Thanks a lot! When you heard what Matt Sorum ended up playing on the Use Your Illusion records were you thinking, Oh, shit, I should have been playing on those songs? Oh, yeah. His were just half-assed, crappy versions. Nothing personal against the guy but he's like a goddamn drum machine. He's got no heart; he's got no soul; he's got no feel. And as life and the years have shown obviously I'm not the easiest drummer to replace. All I know is, Use Your Illusion would have been bigger than Appetite.
  2. (Vercetti Estate, Tommy, Lance, Ken and Sonny Forelli.)

Sonny Forelli: Tommy! What? No big hugs for your old buddy?

Tommy Vercetti: I've had fifteen years out of the loop, I'm a bit rusty on family etiquette.

Sonny Forelli: Always angry, eh Tommy? Didn't I say your temper would get you into trouble, huh?

Tommy Vercetti: There's three mil in the cases...

Sonny Forelli: How many was it? Ten? No, eleven men. That's how you get to be called the Harwood Butcher! Heh-heh-heh!

Tommy Vercetti: You sent me to kill one man, ONE MAN. They knew I was coming, Sonny...

Sonny Forelli: Tommy, Tommy, watch your tone... Anyone would think you blame me for that unfortunate set of circumstances.

Tommy Vercetti: Just take the money...

Sonny Forelli: Get the damn cash. You know, Tommy? I did what I could for you, I pulled strings, called in favors. I was your friend, Tommy. I hoped you'd see sense, see what's good for business. I trusted you, Tommy, and you disappointed me. But at least someone in your chicken shit organization knows how to do business. Isn't that right, Lance?

  3. This guys sums it up best. The worst thing about the Ice Bucket Challenge is the people who criticize it.

    fuck off

This Ice Bucket shit is the prime example of the 21 st century hypocrisy

Most of the people do this because their popularity or because it's a trend. Not for the case

You're a prime example of the consum idiotism, though

  4. To the hardcore community, I'd say he's neither. Just right. We know exactly how important Izzy was musically for Guns.

To the casuals: underrated. They know the guy with the top hat that makes his guitar do nasty, beautiful shit.

this, although i vote Dizzy Reed

  5. How many times have I said Freese wrote Chi dem, how many times?!

Sometimes I wonder if Axl did anything.

    Finck wrote Better

Bucket wrote Shacklers, Scraped and Sorry

Tobias wrote IRS, TWAT, Catcher, Prostitute

    Tommy wrote Riad

    Axl wrote This I Love

I'm not sure on SOD, Madagascar, ITW.

Dizzy wrote the piano for SOD? Finck also has credit.

Madagascar was an Axl and Pitman song

ITW seems like Pitman and Bucket.

I know Axl shapes and rewrites and has final say but yeah he didn't write everything.

This kinda makes Tobias the best songwriter in post 97 GnR. . .

It's a bit depressing to be honest.

Axl is still better imo, but Tobias comes close. Never thought there was anything shitty about Paul as a musician. Every song he wrote with or for Guns (or had a hand in) is enjoyable to me. From Back Off Bitch, to Catcher, to There Was A Time.

    Agreed

When i first discover his credits i'm surprised.
