CD, all the way.
Why compare it with a cover album though? Why not ranking it against all GN'R albums?
-
I'd be happy with a return of the 2006 look! Including goatee and cornrows.

No one was avoiding the UYI tour and it wasn't the original 5 either.
Who cares what those people think? What's the point of this thread?

No, no McBob. That would be like trying to recreate somthing that's long gone.
New intro, different stage, different set. New songs.

Kat also shared a pic and using #slash in her latest Instagram post.
Man this is so great.
-
From when is that pic?
I bet it was 2014 during the last SA tour.

What I really wonder is why people seem to need to have Matt or Gilby for this to be acceptable. If Slash and Duff are back that's great and more than enough. Izzy would be cool but we're just guessing what he'll do.
-
Looks like it was directed by Michael Bay.
I want to say I'm curious but we've seen this film before probably.

Hey Guys,
Do you know where one could find a good quality version of Messages by Velvet Revolver?
I have a rip from YouTube but the sound isn't very good.
Tkx in advance,

We're all speculating about Scott's death. People are bound to do that because of the way he lived. It's not particularly respectful, but it is what it is.
Sorum on the other hand is likely concerned that he'll be seen as the guy who had an ongoing beef with a well-known frontman at the time he died. That's why he's the only acquaintance of Scott's who is doing a radio interview within a couple days of his death. Matt cares about Matt - that's why we're hearing from him. Tears and all.
What's not respectful is some random on the internet claiming they know how Matt feels and claiming that Matt is only looking for publicity and only looking to make sure his name is clear. Seriously STFU.
Says the random guy on the Internet always saying what everybody in GN'R is doing, and for what reasons. And always displaying some agressivity while doing so.
We're entitled to our opinion. I do believe Matt's trying to portray himself in a good way.
I mean, the closest people in SW's life are being quiet at the moment (shall I say, respecting the family's wishes). Duff, Slash, STP all published a very short moving note offering their thoughts and prayers and remembering their bandmate. Given the difficult history in those bands, Matt should have done the same. From what we know Duff was the one that was the closest to Scott, or tried to reach him etc. and he's not saying anything. Now is not the time, that's all.
Sorry for the off-topic mods.

During UYI he was basically screaming. In 06 he was just a beast in terms of voice, singing, looks and commanding the stage.
2010 was also great though he was screaming more.
-
Maybe so, I just think he should have restrained himself from commenting. Or at least comment about Scott first and foremost and not himself.
Like I said, I'd like to hear more from Duff, from STP, from the Wildabouts.

He's a cunt. I'm not buying one thing he says, never have. I want to hear from Duff. That's the only guy from VR that will be genuine adressing the subject of Scott IMO.Talking about someone other than himself is pretty tricky for Sorum. But with a bit of effort he partly manages to make Scott's death about him.
Matt's amazing. Piss off.
The man's in tears talking about a former band member and you think he's a cunt?
Yes. Hearing him I can't help but think he's 'acting'.
All of a sudden things were patched up and he's there praising Scott.
It was too soon, especially since VR had a difficult break up and that those guys said bad things about each other in the media. Then nothing for years and now suddenly everything's good.

Indeed, spot on Asia!
But you know this won't stop the flow of crap we have to read.
All based on what might even be a distorted comment from Slash months ago.

Can we stop talking about Twilight damnit?? That's a terrible terrible moment in both literature and film history.

It is the exact same riff! The riff that begins 0:02 (there are a couple of seconds of clanking drums first) on the Korn song is the same riff that begins 0:00 on 'Shackler's Revenge'! It is as obvious as day and night.
I'm sorry, I don't hear the same riff :-s

While I love the album myself, I do agree that it could be considered the biggest disappointment of all time for many reasons. I wish the article went into more detail than just "It took 10 years". Yes, that's ONE of the reasons but it's certainly not the only one. It just seems lazy to me to leave the whole saga to just that sentence.
I agree with the fact that resuming the journey to one simple sentence about the time it took is beyond ridiculous.
The problem with this kind of things is it will further fuel the haters.
I for one don't think the album is a disappointment. It's the GNR record that I prefer AND it's one of my favorite record.

Can we list how many 70 year old are still going strong like Mick Jagger?
I mean, yes he's impressive but he's not the rule.
Not going to deny that Axl isn't in the best condition - but his singing is also quite different than what Mick's requires so I can understand the downgrading.
-
Yeah it seems Slash has become somehow responsible for denying the reunion rumors. Axl and his management have full access to the internet, press, etc. They could do it in 10 seconds, maybe less?
Well, if the rumours are false then I certainly blame Fernando for not explicitly stating that no reunion is being planned. It would be very easy for him to post a single post but he refuse to do it.So, Fernando... Any idea?
Maybe because he knows that GNR and Axl for most benefit from the GNR rumors.
Well, he's the one that gave the comment that enabled the likes of you to start talking about reunion.

Jungle is the only right answer, people.
There's nothing more iconic, in the GNR sense, than Slash playing those opening notes followed by "Do you know where the fuck you are!?". The crowd would be like Rio 2001, times 100.
This.
