All mediocre songs to me.

When they do paradise city and confetti shoots everywhere

Celine Dion would scorch This I Love.

No Sebastian Bach?

Are you actually disputing that?
Lol. This is why I love the forum.Seriously, Paul Tobias would be the Holy Grail of GNR interviews.
No way. Paul is laterally the Holy Grail in the GNR universe. I don't know how anyone could feel differently.

Lets say, just for the sake of discussion, that Chinese Democracy was a popular album with some historical significance. If, years down the road, there was an all-star tribute to CD with tons of big names covering the album, who would you want to hear, and on which songs?

Good riddance. Mods should have never let him join in the first place.
I think if 2006 nugnr had debuted in 2002, things would be different now.

Lol. My local house cover band is now the standard against which Axl is judged. Axl shouldn't be compared to himself. He should be compared to my nephew's garage band.
-
So they're a band in the same way the Rock-afire Explosion Band was... Okay, I agree.
-
I'd vote for Outta Get Me. Great riff and solo. Cool modulations. And the lyrics do a great job of revealing Axl's perspective on the world. He's the only guy in the hair metal era who would have written lyrics like those!
-
Just a few threads ago, you clowns were hoping someone would confront slash about his role in killing the guy from Jetboy.
-
Also it seems like a couple of people are grossly exaggerating bbf's abuse so they can white knight. I'm sure bbf's equally embarrassed to be championed by guys like volcano.

You're right... Not getting fired by or quitting on Axl after a few years is quite an accomplishment. Not quite the accomplishment that, say, writing one song is, but hey it still counts for something. If they ever make a RnR Hall of Fame for bands who've stayed together the longest despite never writing a song, I'm sure nugnr will at the top of their list. And in sure Axl would be honored to attend.
They put a lot more than one album together in a lot less than 20 years. Not only that they made history. And all of them made contrubitions not just one or two members. All of them agree to sign with Geffen. All of them agreed about hiring Alan Niven and Mike Clink to work with them. Do we have all of them or it´s one or two people deciding and giving orders now? It´s not about the amount of years in the band. What role Ron, Richard, Frank, etc play in the band besides getting on stage?
They accomplished something the AFD lineup couldn't accomplish - they kept the band going.
And Ron & Tommy both contributed to the only GNR album released over the past 20 years.
I have nothing against Ron and Tommy. I´m not sure I like how things are run
Why are you comparing the AFD lineup with the current lineup? We all know the AFD lineup was better, much more productive, and much more successful.
The point remains, members of the current lineup have accomplishments with GNR and deserve more respect than being called "replacements". Those accomplishments aren't as great as the AFD lineup, but they are accomplishments nonetheless.

If Matt sorum was legally recognized as an additional musician, what makes you think Axl considers his current touring lineup to be anything else? Band? Do you think they have an ownership stake in GNR inc? They don't even know if they have new songs or a new album. They have as much say in GNR as the guy in the rat suit does at Chuck E Cheese.

I think beta is more a band member than anyone with an instrument these days. She has more creative control than they do

They were new musicians hired to play the notes that other musicians used to play before they quit. That's pretty easy to understand.

I'm getting sick and tired of this argument. Yes, it's technically correct. But Izzy, Steven, Duff and Slash are the guys they blew up with. The first lineup they properly released music with. The lineup that made them go from nothing to something. They, Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Seven, built this band.
No doubt ... but that has absolutely NOTHING to do with disrespecting a 7-year bandmember by calling him a replacement. There's no justification for it, none.
So in seven years he hasn't written one song for his band? You're making an excellent case for why people think of the current band as replacements. Or I guess replacements for replacements would be more accurate, since none of the current guys were first round draft choices even in the nugnr microcosm.
-
The harder you try to make this stupid point, the more stupid it sounds.
I think this is an extremely stupid point. But for the record... He is a replacement, right? You guys haven't started arguing that he was always in the band, right?
It's rare that I get involved in this shit, but ...
Slash replaced Tracii - does that justify calling Slash a replacement?
Duff replaced Ole - so should Duff be called a replacement?
Sorum replaced Adler, who had replaced Rob - so are both Steve and Matt just replacements?
The only one who is a true Replacement is Tommy.
Not at all. If you are going to define a person as a "replacement" strictly because they took over somebody else's job, then you can't pick and choose those to whom you think the definition applies. Think about the billions upon billions of people who have taken over somebody's job over the years - do you call all of them replacements too? Is every player on every sports team just a "replacement"?
It's fine to call someone a replacement shortly after they take over somebody else's job, but after a while they can't be labeled a "replacement" anymore. Hell, Bumble has been in the band for more than 7 years now ... calling him a replacement is beyond silly.

The new merch looks great.

Yeah so fuckin' what? You all come here daily and complain about everything GNR. Stop being a hypocrite. I don't go out of my way to cupcake Slash in a chat and never would.
There would be no problem if they ensured exclusivity. Nightrain is a great community of FANS.
If GNR management ensured the chat remained exclusive, would that have been a problem? The cupcakes on the Bumblefoot chat was really overdoing it and way out there.
I am embarrassed for the whole GNR community. In real life any normal human being doesn't act that way. Fuckin' keyboard warriors living in mom's basement.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves (you know who you are)
Get a fuckin' life
Hopefully management learns from this experience
With that said it's pretty sad that grown adults need to "controlled" in a chat.
We all know I'm not a fan of slash but I would never go to a chat and insult him. that's the difference between me and the bitter ex-fans.
No, but you come on here and insult him.
I honestly wouldn't give a shit if you did. If I even noticed, I would probably find it amusing.
