Agreed. The guitar intro for DTJ in Argentina is killer. In general Slash's guitar playing for that whole gig is awesome. He's improvising most of the solo's and pulling it off well. Brownstone and Nightrain are great examples.

Gotta be "Doin Fine" for me. And as said earlier definitely Slash's best non-GNR work.

What did Billy Joe mean by what he said about Dizzy during the induction speech? He just said: "Keep up the good job" and gave him a thumbs up. Was he mocking Dizzy or what? No one laughed pr clapped when he mentioned Dizzy. What's up with that?

From reading the comments I was expecting a terrible performance. Was quite impressed with his voice throughout all of the song.

I swear while I loved AL, Carolina is literally my least favorite song in it. If I had to choose a single it'd be Not For Me. Anastasia's way too long for a hit.

Why does everyone always think that Axl keeps firing band members?!? Sure, Steven and Gilby got fired. What about Matt? I'm not sure. But everyone else JUST LEFT!!!

Maybe all of this "Axl keeps firing everyone"-nonsense has its origin in that interview with Kurt Loder back in ... 1990 oder 1991?!? I guess it was 1991? Kurt said something like "Steven left" and Axl corrected him by saying "He was fired!!!" The way Axl insisted on the fact that Steven didn't leave, but was fired, probably started all this nonsense, I think. Could that be?

Well, anyway. Unless Dizzy decides to leave, I'm sure he remains a gunner. There have been so many gunners throughout the very beginnings (with guys like Tracii) of this band's history, but only 2 or 3 of them ever got fired. Most of them left i.e. most of them were simply "quitters". There, I said it: QUITTERS!!! :xmassrudolph:

He may not have fired everyone but he definitely made staying in the band unbearable for Slash Duff and co.

It is weird that he's disapproving stuff, but I don't think it's prickish. The weird part is that by saying *HE* has nothing to do with it, he's also saying there's possibly someone else behind this. Why can't this matter be addressed publicly as a band? Now it's just embarrassing, but what can you do. Maybe they gave Bumblefoot no choice.

The whole thing is just down right wierd and Bumble wants nothing to do with it. Fair play for saying it and distancing himself from it all.
