I always thought that Gary Stringer would fit with Slash. He's got an amazing rock blues tone. Amazing vocalist. Reef's early work was very underrated.

Whitfield Crane was another that crossed my mind.

Yes!! Replenish and Glow where really cool albums and that singer would be sooo refreshing.

  2. I would totaly prefer an album that fits their age, so to speak.

A true statement, not trying to be something they aren't anymore.

But I don't think that is what we're getting (if anything).

What do you think, are they talking about this openly with each other? There must be talk about the concept and direction of a new album if they really wanna do it, but do you think they are really honest to each other and themselves when it comes to these questions?

Nothing.  Lets face it, any new album'll be a load of shite.  No rock n roll band from way back when ever released a decent album when they're this far past their prime.  As for old unreleased shit, a lot of the shine came off that idea since that naff Appetite box set.  Other than that, live DVDS, meh, whatever, half that shit is knocking about online in some form or another anyway, oh what, it'll be blu-ray HD whatever the fuck who cares, if I've seen it I've seen it, I'm not bothered about screen quality so sharp you can see the ash falling off the end of Slashes fag.

Bands are like fighters, they have a prime and once its passed you don't get the same deal again.  And quite frankly they don't fuckin' deserve it.  This bunch of idiots fucked up what was the best band of my generation, only to re-group 30 years later when it don't matter for shit anyway.  Talented wasters, thats what Guns were really, when its all said and done.  Shame cuz they could've been the fuckin' bollocks but that ship sailed long ago.

I`m afraid this is the cold and hard truth. It's too late now and they (and we) don't even fully realize it.

It can be done, you just need to flip the script on em somewhat.  Our movie begins with Garth Algar being led to execution, having been captured by Allied Forces in Syria following his radicalisation and joining ISIS.  Wayne watches from TV as Garth is led to his death and, aged 50, starts to look at his life and the choices he has made since we last left him.  He still lives in his parents basement but since the death of television and his parents he lives alone, single, no friends to speak of, doing a one man youtube show watched on average by 2 our of his 8 subscribers.  The rest of the movie sort of follows Wayne around Aurora Illnois in the grip of a crippling depression, from cars to bars to supermarkets, Gods Lonely Man, Wayne Campbell, as he searches for meaning and purpose in his life.  He gradually turns to politics, becoming an ardent Trump admirer in a MAGA hat, growing increasingly suspicious of blacks and latinos.  Slowly he begins to prepare, arm himself, for 'the day'.  The movie ends as Wayne, armed to the teeth and wearing a black trenchcoat, strolls into Aurora Elementary School...

Perhaps a few song and dance numbers somewhere to grab the girls in   'I like Illnois in June...how about yooooou?'

I can't think of any kind of reply to this. Wayne's World 3, alrighty then. :D
