I preferred the snippet. At least then I could still imagine that there was a great song written around the parts we heard. Sounds like a frankensong with a weak chorus. I prefer Scraped.

This is a bit off topic but tangentially related. Is there any chance that as tonedeaf and asinine of a move the wiping from YouTube was, that it was done with at least some method to the madness?
In short I'm asking if there will be a NITL DVD and... Did Hardschool and Atlas conveniently leak because those will be possible singles and played when I see them in Charlotte next month.

VK.com can be a good alternative to youtube for us
Yeah VK is great. It's always been great for music.

YouTube takedowns aren’t just a GNR thing right now. It’s across the entire platform. Labels are trying to put pressure on Google to negotiate. The AI they use for song recognition/copyright violations has gotten good enough that it can recognize songs that are live versions and covers.
Damn I didn't know that. I'm a fan of many many bands and Axl Rose is literally the only artist I've had problems accessing videos I always accessed before. Also literally the only artist I've seen takedowns in real-time based upon exposure of that link. Just saying.
Edit- I also saw it with A Perfect Circle around their latest album, which was incredible. So take that for what it's worth.
Edit Edit - still a net loss strategy if you ask me though.

The Axl Rose youtube takedowns are disgusting. Way to go whoever is doing it or turning a blind eye. You're erasing Axl's legacy one takedown at a time. Good for you. I hope you feel accomplished in your absolute idiocy. In your attempts at censorship or at least some misguided attempt to champion artist's rights you've completely failed. You have succeeded in denying fans and newcomers alike of some great music that actually brings joy to people. You have successfully cut off your nose to spite your face. So stupid.
I shared a relatively obscure Axl/DC clip with my buddy yesterday and today it's been taken down. I mean WTF. Are you an idiot? My friend loved the clip Btw and would have probably shown several more people who then would have been more inclined to buy a GN'R ticket in the future. So fucking dumb.
Sure there are internet trolls, but just do what every other well adjusted normal person does. Just fucking ignore them.

Izzy doesn't have the guitar chops to be anything more than a special guest on the NITL Tour.

That was the best Slither and You Could Be Mine I've heard in a while.

Obviously Axl throws in the timing mistakes so people know it's not playback. After all they just witnessed him sing like an old woman for the past 1:45.

And then there is the majority of people attending the shows who have a great time and would find this discussion absurd.
I saw them in 2016 and 2017 and Axl was noticeably worse in 2017.

I think it's fairly obvious that they skipped YCBM and Coma and did a half assed rehearsal of Slither because Matt Sorum will soon be joining them for these songs.
Also you all should be ashamed of yourselves. What if it turned out that Axl spent the entire break working on AC/DC and this show was basically a gnr warmup show? You all seem to love the Cathouse '89 warmup. I would cut the NITL tour some slack and trust that everything will be fine.

Well, you can't help getting sick, not sure what you expect him to do if he really was sick.
BUT as @RussTCB said above, if he didn't have a habit of being woefully underprepared for the first show of a tour then maybe fans and keyboard warriors such as ourselves would cut him a bit of slack. I'm sceptical that he was sick at all, he just doesn't bother to practise in his down time and he keeps coming back worse than ever. This performance makes Rock In Rio 2011 look okay. The older her gets, the worse its going to be if he doesn't practise. I take singing lessons myself and if I go two weeks without singing sometimes I can try and sing something and it just ain't working. My throat closes up and it sounds forced and constricted. If I practise 4-5 a week I sound fine and hit the notes with ease. It isn't rocket science, the vocal folds are a muscle and if you don't use it, you lose it.
Just a reminder of how TIL sounded in 2010. I've seen so many ropey performances from Axl of this song now, I've started to dread watching it. I checked this out earlier just to remind myself of what it sounded like when he put in the effort. Compare this to any TIL from 2014-2018 and it's like night and day:
The problem with trotting out 2010 videos for comparison is that even on his best days Axl doesn't even try to sing these songs like that anymore and he hasn't for a long time. With very few exceptions in 2016, he doesn't rasp his way through these songs like in 2010. He approaches them completely differently. Which is why if I want to hear a live CITR I only listen to Toronto 2010. Pure power.

Hey man love your work! Thanks a lot for this. Makes me wish Axl gave better performances on some of the song because the quality of your work is so good! Hopefully the San Diego IEM/AUD matrix will provide some great material for you! Keep it up brother.

Is he back on the sauce, or is that just how he sounds now?

That would sell a ridiculous amount of money, honestly
With the news about Journey touring this morning, it makes me think of Steve Perry joining that band again for a last hurrah.
Roger Waters & David Gilmour reuniting would be so many years too late, with every other original member dead.
Wait, what are you talking about? There's no indication of Steve Perry rejoining Journey, and Nick Mason is still alive.

This is a tribute to Chris Cornell that I did with my good friend Angie. We're working on a full EP of tribute songs right now. I'm also working hard on my cover of Breakdown so stay tuned for that. Let me know what you think.

I had always assumed that they prepared it for The Apollo show, chickened out on playing it that night, played it subsequently because they prepared it, realized it was kinda silly outside of the context of The Apollo Theater, then stopped playing it. I enjoyed it about as much as I enjoy any new GN'R covers taking the place of deep cut originals, which is to say not much.

Very sorry about your house @TOS--LOA and thank you for putting that together!
This is not one show but is a lovely collection with very good sound!
Thank you! Yeah it's been a crazy ride and thankfully I was the only one home and homeowners insurance has been very helpful.
Anyway I think Angus and Team Brazil would be very foolish to not release an Axl/DC Rock or Bust Blu Ray DVD in the next few months. I already think they fucked up by not having it out for Christmas.

Here's that Philly show I was working on. I combined a few sources. It's still unfinished because my house literally burned down as I was working on it.
It still sounds very much Audience recording and not soundboard but definitely an A+ Audience. I evened everything out so it's a good listen as a complete show.

IRS would be awesome. But I wont be satisfied until I hear Riad. Don't care what you all think, this line-up would make it sound incredible - imagine Duff in charge of that bass line??? Slash on the solo? And Axl won't be ahhhhh-ahhhhhhing all over the intro because he's not capable of that anymore so it'd be all good. I promise.
Scraped or bust

It's funny to hear Howard and Robin mocking Duff for his pursuits in Finance. Never underestimate Duff Mckagan!

Literally 1 brand new song plus 2 UYI deep cuts would turn this announcement from Meh to OMFG. For these guys that's not even hard. Let's hope they do the right thing.
