I really hope Axl doesn't write his own biography i.e. version of events, at least not in the near future. It would be very hard to write that book without rubbing Slash or Duff the wrong way..and we don't need that shit right now..

I think the easiest thing to do would be to make an official "Oral History of Guns N' Roses: 1985-1995" book where an interviewer asks Slash/Axl/Steven/Izzy/Duff/Matt/Gilby/Dizzy/Niven/Goldstein/Vicky/Huge/Marc Canter/Del/Robert John all the same questions and then presents their answers together so you can see what each person thought of every situation, and then the readers can judge for themselves as to what happened.

From what Axl said it doesn't seem it was as much to sing prettier but to be able to sing the scratchy AC/DC songs without damaging his voice. But yeah, if this means he will now also add a little more rasp on GN'R songs that would be good.

Well he was probably scared shitless of going in front of a stadium of AC/DC fans and disappointing them.

I wonder if he's having the vocal coach help him with GNR songs? Since a bunch of the songs still sound like ass, I'm guessing no.

What I do not understand is the hate for Frank. The man has been behind the kit in this band for 10 years! I know people had their opinions on him before but it's crazy now. He does a hella good job, and people need to realize Adler will only make guest appearances.

Frank fucks up a lot - he's incapable of improvising when shit goes wrong

With Slash and Duff, guys who are used to playing looser, that's no good

Adler and Brain were always good with compensating for Axl or the rest of the band fucking up

  4. Isn't it also possible he felt cornered by the enormity of the GNR reunion and wanted to hedge his bets elsewhere?

If the reunion fell apart, Duff and Slash could easily find something else to do. Axl...not so much. He had no leverage up until the AC/DC gig. Now he can say to Slash and Duff "well if you're not going to do things my way, I'll go play with AC/DC for the rest of my life and you'll never make big money again".

    It's smart on his part.

On a final note, I don't see Slash and Duff or Richard or Frank crib on a daily basis about how much Axl loves AC/DC more than GN'R, but they aren't doing so because I suspect that they realize that Axl being excited and happy and bringing in more publicity by way of AC/DC is good for them and their futures with GN'R too.

That's a funny way of saying "gag order"

Can he even run nowadays like he used to during the UYI tour? The last I ever saw axl running around was during the 2006 tour and then I didnt follow nu-GN'R beyond that

He still does a sprint to both ends of the stage at the end of Paradise City, but other than that not really

I don't think he's jumped off anything since Montreal 2010 when he fucked up his back after leaping off a piano
