With the exception of Vegas, this lineup isn't playing arenas. They've booked stadiums for the upcoming tour, big difference. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they did a lot of promo before the tour or during the Coachella buzz.

They're not going to sell out the stadiums they're booking

    I guarantee it

It's possible with a big-name co-headliner, but with The Cult or Alice in Chains...no

What if these shows in 2016 are the only chance we ever get to see Axl, Slash, and Duff perform together again?

Not as many people care about this as you think.

If the band had their shit together, they would have scheduled press junkets/talk show performances and capitalized on it. If they did this the right way, they could be big again.

Instead it's just Axl finding a way to sell out arenas again by bringing back Slash.

  3. The band has to be on the top of their game and start doing high-profile gigs like SNL in order to sell out stadiums

They're not big like Zeppelin where the name alone can move the tickets

Axl's damaged the brand to the point where I doubt there's much mainstream interest past the first few shows. I'm already kind of over it.

If Axl fucks up on the Coachella live stream it's all over

  4. Remember that David Lee Roth was going to play with his original solo band (Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan) at a surprise gig in LA a few months ago at Lucky Strike Live, and the fire marshall had to shut it down because there were so many people:

    Same thing could happen tomorrow

Seriously you won't see this type of energy and excitment at a Guns show you just won't. I saw them in September at AT&T park and it was like this, these guys are a staple and I find it almost impossible for a person to enjoy rock music and not at least enjoy a few tunes from AC/DC. Why do you think it is trending and getting more coverage everywhere than an actual confirmed Guns reunion that's well overdue? Because to the rest of the rock world AC/DC is a bigger deal than Guns. Guns did it to themselves they went away and the fans moved on. AC/DC did it right and a rumor that is not confirmed is picking up way more popularity than a band that was once the biggest in the world getting back after 23 years. AC/DC and AXl if it is true I will be at a show.

This was filmed in Buenos Aires

GNR has had some huge concerts there too :)

Uh, Guns would not open for AC/DC, would be the other way around if anything and in a stadium to boot for sure.

Of course they would. If it's a band that's bigger than GNR or someone they respect at that level, I have no doubt they would step aside.

Axl was going to let GNR open for the Rolling Stones in 2006
