What if these shows in 2016 are the only chance we ever get to see Axl, Slash, and Duff perform together again?
Not as many people care about this as you think.
If the band had their shit together, they would have scheduled press junkets/talk show performances and capitalized on it. If they did this the right way, they could be big again.
Instead it's just Axl finding a way to sell out arenas again by bringing back Slash.

The days of a full rasp concert are over.

Axl's voice is still shit
That is a problem
If he can't even turn on the rasp for A REUNION WITH SLASH...he can't turn it on
-
The band has to be on the top of their game and start doing high-profile gigs like SNL in order to sell out stadiums
They're not big like Zeppelin where the name alone can move the tickets
Axl's damaged the brand to the point where I doubt there's much mainstream interest past the first few shows. I'm already kind of over it.
If Axl fucks up on the Coachella live stream it's all over

We still don't even know what's happened between them, and we won't until one of them decides to actually tell us.
Slash probably signed the same gag order that all the other NewGNR guys signed
"There will be no interviews"

So whats the reason Sorum is not involved? i mean fuck i would rather have Sorum anyday instead of Frank. Sorum said shit about axl or something years ago?
I honestly thought Duff and Slash would never go back to GNR without Sorum, but here we are

Did McBob do the intro last night?

What's the forecast for LA tomorrow?
They could do it outdoors like Velvet Revolver:
-
Remember that David Lee Roth was going to play with his original solo band (Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan) at a surprise gig in LA a few months ago at Lucky Strike Live, and the fire marshall had to shut it down because there were so many people:
Same thing could happen tomorrow

I'd like to see his photos from that day

So he won't show up to rehearse with his own band, but when AC/DC calls for him to do so, he all of a sudden will?
I call bullshit.
Axl probably respects the AC/DC gig more than the GNR reunion at this point

There is a lot of Dad's in this crowd apparently
Seriously you won't see this type of energy and excitment at a Guns show you just won't. I saw them in September at AT&T park and it was like this, these guys are a staple and I find it almost impossible for a person to enjoy rock music and not at least enjoy a few tunes from AC/DC. Why do you think it is trending and getting more coverage everywhere than an actual confirmed Guns reunion that's well overdue? Because to the rest of the rock world AC/DC is a bigger deal than Guns. Guns did it to themselves they went away and the fans moved on. AC/DC did it right and a rumor that is not confirmed is picking up way more popularity than a band that was once the biggest in the world getting back after 23 years. AC/DC and AXl if it is true I will be at a show.
This was filmed in Buenos Aires
GNR has had some huge concerts there too
-
If Axl shows up to the GNR shows with his Mickey Mouse voice, but then turns on the rasp for the AC/DC shows - will you lose respect for him knowing that he's been half-assing it for GNR concerts since 2011?
-
Axl better text the former NewGNR members and ask them for tips on how to be "that asshole replacement guy"
I never thought I'd see Axl drop himself in that situation
What a strange fucking year

Uh, Guns would not open for AC/DC, would be the other way around if anything and in a stadium to boot for sure.
Of course they would. If it's a band that's bigger than GNR or someone they respect at that level, I have no doubt they would step aside.
Axl was going to let GNR open for the Rolling Stones in 2006
-
Also - if he shows up to an AC/DC concert singing like Mickey Mouse, his career is over
He can't half-ass those songs and not have a raspy voice

I would have a TON of respect for Axl if he did a tour with GNR opening for AC/DC and he did both sets each night
A TON
Do it Axl

Axl played less than 5 minutes from my house a few years ago and I didn't go because his voice was shit
In 2010 I took a 10 hour bus ride to see GNR
What does that tell you
Negativity for the sake of...

They're not going to sell out the stadiums they're booking
I guarantee it
It's possible with a big-name co-headliner, but with The Cult or Alice in Chains...no
