  1. The last line sounds like a long hiatus coming up...
  2. I'm kinda sad the tour is over now, it's been a long year for the band on the road, and it's been very exciting. This tour had everything imo and was miles better than last year, the steady setlist was absolute best, with ptu anything goes and so on amazing! I saw them 3 times in Europe this year and each show was different with Paris as a Highlight for me. Also cool they brought in Perhaps and The General as brand new songs along the road. Maybe outside of Axl's voice compared to 016-017 this was the best tour since it all started?
  3. I can't get over how Axl's just brings that part of can anybody help me.. so on with so much justice to the recorded song, like with true feels. I love how he sings that verse
  4. Hmm I would switch the general with monsters, only because the general has less simple lyrics and perhaps with hardskool
  5. Panic here, my source on SoundCloud is down, can't play the song.. can anybody help me and send a pmmm? Edit: got back on discord and found it
  6. Interesting call, I was having similar thoughts. I think if you listen to Axl's vocals in the Looney tunes bit, Axl's most recent recordings that we know, they don't sound too far from each other.
  7. It's funny how suddenly the band did what we expected and hoped them to do, huuge let down last week with the release being postponed. One week later they play it live! From what I saw it went pretty well good one for the boys
  8. Do we need the confirmation tho? I can take it for what it is, I certainly hear Slash on parts and it don't really matter if he's all over the songs or not. I love what I hear and that counts. If he's all over fine good happy they gave him full freedom to record guitar parts as he sees fit, if not also fine and respect towards bucket finck or Ron for keeping their work on the songs.
  9. Haha no way! Is it that American guy from that LA based band with that song called sweet child of mine? His name is AxEl Rose?
  10. Okay, first Listen to the Bridge in Monsters, and then Listen to the first verse of Nightrain live in Tokyo 2009, same pitch right there!! The exact same octave
  11. I have commented on this song several times already but what I'd like to add is that you can't really compare this song with anything else in the GN'R catalogue. I personally like that, how the band is able to create something totally different from the rest. And the combination of the vocals, melodies, orchestra en Slash' amazing guitar work makes it an experience!
  12. If they could do anything right in this situation it would be that! Ain't there an open management function available for you?
  13. I couldn't care less, taste in music is always subjective, where you can love Elton John I can hate it and where I can dig these tracks you can totally dislike them, it doesn't matter right? If you don't like it don't listen to it. And if you love it spin it 10 times an hour
  14. Maybe something in between, if that even exists? As one is not complete without the other, it's a very short pause but connects with the general part at the same time and the vibe of it stays the same.
  15. Both songs tell the complete story imo, you can seperate them as A Axl as a child experiencing everything and B Axl in later life looking back on it and breaking away from it thus making it a whole
  16. I like how there are so many different opinions about these tracks, some love the general more than monsters others the other way around. I hear people calling it a masterpiece, myself included but a masterpiece in an alternative way. And others totally dislike the whole thing for various reasons. Lovely to read and discuss this @Gibbowhat is your review on this?
  17. I think indeed monsters is also about the same subject, I think it's his older self reflecting on it, trying to close door behind him. All in all a very very interesting artistic work by axl
  18. This whole thing general and monsters must be Axl's most painful song ever, it can't be any different. It's so deep and so real, maybe also the answer to why it took so long to be released! He's exposing his younger child here. This is a very vurnarable song.
  19. Isn't the general supposedly about Axl's experience with abuse in his youth? If so I must say that he really sets the dark desperate tone in how he must have felt going through it perfectly in the song. This is 100% Axl translating his emotions into a song!
  20. I find it a whole lot to digest, I was listening with wide open mouth tje first time, and there's a lot going through my body right now. I can't really explain what I feel hearing this but it's beyond amazing to finally hear it at all! It's dark it's weird it's mysterious
  21. I'm gonna see Slash in April with SMKC and i'm going to find out where he goes sightseeing and then I will take his ice-cream or whatever snack he's having and only give it back after a proper explanation about ALL OF THIS
