🤣 On YouTube, a lot of Comments roasted the budget for Garden Of Eden, saying stuff like,"Producer. "I found 5 PESOS(Pesos are about .50 in USD, so about $2.50 in USD, 😀) on the ground." Axl:"Say no more! We'll take it and make Garden Of Eden music video!" 🤣 One particular comment said something like,"Well, after Axl jumped off a huge luxury cruiseship and dived into an ocean and had a Dolphin rescue him and swim with him, in Estranged this $5 budget was all that was left for Garden Of Eden music video!" 🤣

Estranged Came after Garden of Eden.🧐

I think Garden of Eden is a nice, fun little video. A bit like Yesterdays. I think both were received better in the rock community than megalomaniac videos like November Rain and especially Estranged.

  2. Rooting for Netherlands now. I haven't been impressed by Argentina, but I have to admit I haven't watched Netherlands play yet.

But I'm dreading Saturday. My daughter is going to a concert in Antwerp and Morocco is playing. I hope the little assholes don't plan on rioting there again. That's the main problem I have with Morocco still being in the WC. That and the constant whistling when the others have the ball. I suppose it's handy for the blind, but it's seriously annoying for everyone else.

I think in the end France will win again.

  3. Not happy Morocco won, obviously, but we were bad.

It just makes me so very angry that what anyone could have predicted, happened again. Moroccan youth rioting in Brussels and Antwerp. Such a great way to celebrate, by wrecking stuff. For that alone I would hope Morocco never qualifies again. Every single time they use it as an excuse to riot. Doesn't matter if they win or lose, any excuse will do. They even rioted in several Dutch cities. Disgusting.

  4. Congrats :headbang:

Twenty years... I've not even been on here ten years and so many people have come and gone, so many exciting and disappointing times. And then I wasn't even here yet for the busiest years. Maybe it's time to consider writing your forum memoirs.

    That's a very favourable review.

    Good photo's as well.

Kat's not with the band so I wonder who's photographer.

In Asia it was Beta's cousin, I believe. So I assume he went with them on this leg too. Not sure why Kat didn't go. I'm quite sure a few months ago she said she'd be touring with gnr the rest of the year.

SMKC will tour Europe in early 2024 as the part of 'The River is Rising Tour' to promote '4'. No new music from Conspirators, for now.

Interesting. Any idea what he will be recording then in early 2023? Maybe some soundtrack again?

2024 seems late to tour 4. But I'll be happy to see them again regardless. I had been hoping for early 2023.

Because little to none of the revenue goes directly to the US government, taxes not withstanding. The US doesn’t own the gas, private companies do.  The idea that the US military would go out of its way to further the interests of private energy companies at the cost of European stability is nonsense.

The higher cost for US LNG is due to higher extraction and transportation costs.  It’s still largely determined by energy markets, not some maniacal ploy to hose Europeans.

Again, countries do not set energy prices.  Even private energy companies don’t have a huge hand in setting prices.  They’re determined by energy markets, plus the cost of extraction (relative to other sources) and transportation costs (shipping across the Atlantic ocean is significantly higher than transporting through a pipeline beneath the baltic sea).

I haven't said anything about who is responsible for the sabotage and I don't think there's a plan to hose Europeans. I'm just saying there are winners in this story and they don't only live in Russia.

I don't think Norway is winning either, in addition to the aid we provide, we are experiencing triple energy prices and an inflation of 7%. That being said, I wouldn't mind a political decision to spend every extra dollar in gas revenue we receive on military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Hm? This is what we learn about that in the press here.

    Quote

In a normal year, the income from oil and gas already brings in more than 50 billion euros, good for roughly 10,000 euros per Norwegian. But since the invasion of Ukraine, Norway has replaced Russia as Europe's largest gas supplier. At today's extortionate prices, that means an annual revenue of perhaps 200 billion euros, or 40,000 euros per inhabitant. That means that every Norwegian gets about 770 euros richer every week.

The US has sent tens of, if not close to a hundred, billions of financial and military aid to Ukraine.  The US government does not own or operate oil companies.  Hundreds of millions of Americans have had to pay a lot more for gas since last February due to the conflict in Ukraine.

Please explain how the US is “winning” in this situation.

The US became the biggest exporter of liquid gas in 2022. 70% of US export of LNG goes to Europe, and not for a friendly price, as we here know all too well. Do you mean that the US doesn't benefit from that at all? That's hard to believe.

If those exporting countries would accept lower (normal, fair) prices, that would mean less income for Putin too and his army, because he couldn't ask these ridiculous prices if others didn't. That would be a way to hurt Putin.

But all they think about is their own wallets and how to make even more money. They don't care about freezing Europeans. Putin is a gift for them, as he can take all the blame, the perfect scapegoat for anything and everything. And meanwhile people here have to close their businesses because they can't afford to keep them open with these energy prices and ordinary people have to sit in the cold and worry about not showering too often, praying for a mild winter. Yay for climate change.

The idea that the US would risk the wrath of a continent that is already in the midst of a severe energy crisis by sabotaging one of its key sources is laughably absurd.

In what world would it make sense right now for the US to make its allies in Europe suffer even further?  And for what purpose?  It doesn’t really hurt Russia, since Russia has found steady customers for its oil and natural gas in Asia.

Putin’s game plan is to to literally freeze the rest of Europe this coming winter in the hopes that it weakens European resolve and decreases the support given to Ukraine.  Blowing up Nord 1 would help Putin’s strategy.  He is the one to gain from such a move, not the US and certainly not the rest of Europe.

People keep ignoring other winners of this crisis. It's easy to point fingers at Putin when countries like Norway and the US are making record profits by selling us their gas at ultra high prices. Hypocrites.

For what it's worth "its a sin" and "it's a sin" pops Ghost for me in the UK even though I can't listen to the track.

    Yeah, same in Belgium.

Also, yesterday Thyme didn't do anything for me. Today, it does suggest GNR. It's really odd it seems to shift from day to day.

These Spotify customer support people probably don't know shit. They're just there to answer simple questions like how to search on the app and make a playlist.

Exactly. And if someone says they can't find GNR's new single, they'll say it hasn't been released yet because they can't find it either. They're not thinking it's a trick to find out if there actually is such a song. They just believe the customer asking about a new single.

And no one cares about how their algorithm works. Why would they? It's only an issue for us GNR nerds/lunatics.

We need four more titles to pop up to have our imaginary proper GN'R album (assuming that it already includes Absurd and Hard Skool). And if it continues beyond that, we'll have our imaginary trilogy.

So, if all this turns to be nothing (very likely), it'll at least have created a ghost GN'R album in the alternate reality of Spotify.

Beta said at some point that Absurd was on the new cd, so I think it should be on our imaginary album too.

Someone in another GNR forum posted this:

"Just a small update, might not mean a thing.

"Going Down" is now listed on ASCAP, as well as a new song called "10%er". Both written by Tommy, with GN'R listed as the performer"

Could this mean something??? Anyone knows?

It was mentioned here as well, probably a few pages ago.
