  1. Ok, so the PROs behind the "most dangerous band in the world" will not watch the finished product they are releasing on sale??

Is that the message Guns n' Roses, as a band, want to send to the world via their OFFICIAL TWIITTER account? The main interested in selling a product are the ones who do not care for the finished product? That kind of statement I would only expect from a roadie, or the guy who mows the lawn at Axl's house, not from the Social Media Manager. Unless they are so cheap they had to hire the gardener as Community Manager too.

  2. They won't watch the blu ray vegas release

Those tweets piss me off so much!

I really HATE the way that Tw thing is so unprofessionally handled. Why do they talk in first person? It is a fuxking band!! and why is there someone giving his/her opinion ion bullshit and saying those things to fans?

Ok, they won't see the DVD... who is 'I'?? Why should we care some mysterious 'I' will not watch it?

  3. The most humorous thing about her story is how outraged and angry some people are getting.

People just love to get outraged and offended.

Agree with one person's opinion on an issue? Cool. Disagree with one person's opinion on an issue? Cool. But to get mad and freak out about it? Crazy. Not talking about this forum as this story was just posted. I've just read some of the comments posted on other sites in regards to her story.

I think she went way overboard on the soccer stereotypes. But it is nice that there are at least a few public figures out there willing to speak their mind and not be in 100% political correctness mode 24/7. Even if don't agree with her thoughts on soccer, surely you like that she is speaking her mind? I personally get tired of politically correct answers.

I have no problem with people speaking their minds. The problem comes when they speak words to harm, trash and humiliate the likes of others.

I'm not saying everybody should like/love/adore soccer. There are tons of other sports I hate. But not even in my wildest dream I could go writting such a spiteful essay to diss a sport so many people like. That is just insane in first place and ignorant in the second.

Ignorant because she's basically rejecting soccer because its not an "american" thing. She's rejecting it because she feels "invaded" by the "aliens" who want to take her USA away and transform it into some horrible thing. She's the typical person who never left her country, who never interacted with foreign people, she's ignorant in all senses. I don't know how people can go mad at this poor person. All I can feel for her is pity. Such ignorance is as hard to remove as a brain tumor.

  4. CD didn't take so many years to be completed. There were years of inactivity related to Axl having to go to court and do depressing shit.

What he did wrong was to announce too early that he was working on an album. Had he said in 2006 "and now I've started working on something that will be called Chinese Democracy..." there wouldnt have been such scandal among fans, media, etc.

I don't know. I don't buy that. Too many layoffs. They can't all be battling personal demons, various boogeyman, and the universe itself.

2 gigs in January 2001, 2 more in December. In between?

No gigs until August 2002. The first seven months of the year?

2003-2005 : The Dark Time. What happened here?

As an effective procrastinator myself I can tell you that the album taking 13 years to be done is bullshit.

I don't doubt he had to spend a long time in court and the depression derived from that is what puts you in bed for years. We don't know what happened in those gaps of time when he disappeared but I dont think they were entirely dedicated to CD.

  5. Guns don't do huge US tours because it's not really viable. Without a record with hits and public perception being good Guns can't fill stadiums. You have to go out with a great package tour in America, few bands can tour America and do well on their own Bon Jovi, Metallica, AC/DC, Rolling Stones... GnR would need to work really hard to turn the American peoples perception of the band around, most fans in America won't pay top dollar for gnr like European or Asian fans... they are just incredibly picky and critical.

The last tours of America in 2006 and 2011 were quite successful but I think what Axl is saying is that they haven't done a 50 date US tour, like they would have on the Illusions albums or Appetite.

Ya'know it's not that strange for bands not to play big markets like the US. Like Van Halen rarely make it out of the US, Bob Seger doesn't either and they do just fine, but if they toured europe it wouldn't be so easy for them now as they haven't built a relationship over the years... it's no so strange that guns would focus on SA, Europe and asia as they are all easier markets.

American audiences are far from "picky and critical".... They are the kings of consumism, therefore, they will only pack stadiums if the show is a highly popular act at the moment. I.e.: Miley Cirus, Justin Bieber, Beyonce.... remember BackStreet Boys? They used to fill arenas all over the world. Now they are doing Vegas just like GN'R (actually they played there at the same time than GN'R this year).

GN'R isn't HUGE in Latinamerica or Europe either. The venues they recently played can hold no more than 10.000 people (when in 1993 they played River Plate, a stadium for 75.000 people)

But he'd already released OMG in 1999 and played CD songs from 2001. Had he not have played new songs then, his continuance of the GN'R brand would have been even more criticised. He had to prove he had new music in order to justify his return with a new band.

yeah, he did what other people wanted.... having to prove stuff must have been uncomfortable for him, being the way he is. Maybe thats why the whole shit got even more delayed.

I just think he didn't work the whole time (13 years) on CD... dunno.... maybe he did.... but its hard to believe.
